(AU where Endeavor did not take on Mr. Smiley)

Mr. Smiley was painting on the side of a building, focusing heavily on his art. Nearby onlookers weren't exactly looking on anymore as they were too busy laughing. His current piece was one of the top Pro Heroes, Hawks. He hummed to himself as he worked. = Hawks soon got a call to check out the area, the distress calls soon interrupted by laughter. “Oh great, this guy.” Hawks rolled his eyes before heading to the area and closing his eyes, using his feathers to “see” the area. Too bad that he couldn’t see the art, otherwise the somewhat vain #2 would be touched. As it was though, he had a job to do.

Clearing his throat as he hovered closer. “Ahem. Shinjiro Hohoemi. Please stop what you’re doing, I’m afraid I need to take you in.” Hawks said as he kept his eyes shut, his feathers hovering around Smiley, keeping an eye on him and also ready to snatch him if he was going to resist. “Please come along quietly, no need to make a scene, right?”

Jack tilted her head to one side because everything seems to make more sense at a 45 degree angle.

"I'm more worried about the smell than the stains... and maybe how sticky it's gonna be when it dries?" She dunked the rag back into the bucket of warm soapy water and wrung it out. "I've been covered in basically everything that can come out of a person and drying blood is like the second worse sensation."

The Unicorn tilted his head, raising a single pierced eyebrow as he knelt down to be more on Clem's level.

...Immediately and internally he was reminded of all those 'how to talk to short people' memes that had been all over Voxblr years ago and thought this must be pretty demeaning from Clem's point of view but he was already down here and most certainly wasn't gonna get back up as smoothly as he'd gone down.

So he stayed.

The Imp on his shoulder perched like a little gargoyle, pale pink eyes staring blankly at Clem. She was pure white from tip to tail, albino most likely, and dressed in all black which made her look even paler.

She hung onto Ami's ear for stability as the Goetia offered one of his big paws for Clem to shake, "I'm Amdusias, the critter on my shoulders is Aria... you got a name?"

There were still proprieties she had to take care of, mostly to make certain that things weren’t difficult for Sakura without reason, yes they were dating but that didn’t mean she needed to put extra burdens on her shoulders. So she waited until they were alone, then whispered the words softly, smiling when she got the answer with a single nod. “I’ll meet you there.” And released her, moving away and doing just that, heading to her room to meet the woman there after a short time had passed.

She had done a few things herselfto make the room hopefully seem a bit more familiar for her, comfortable for her, nothing major nor expensive but still the efforts would probably be noticed. A couple of stuffed animals were on the bed, her own works, and the pillows added to make it comfortable, given she never slept normally she had no reason for them. 

Byleth herself sat at her desk as she waited, a small half-stitched doll in her hands as she worked on another, a routine that calmed her and relaxed her, even if she never showed things externally that didn’t mean she wasn’t nervous time to time, and spending time alone with Sakura did just that, for self value and worries was something she dealt with regularly. What if she wasn’t good enough for the woman? What if she disappointed? So she toiled on her works gently, dedicatedly, until she heard that knock on her door. “It’s open Sakura, you may come in.”

Rog bit the inside of his cheek, eyebrows pulling together. “No, I know technically… I mean…” But who else could he go to but Laurefindil? Possibly Ethele or Galdor, but Laure calmed him in a way no one else could manage. Except perhaps Lin.

For all his long years he hadn’t thought something like this would happen to him, that he meet someone he wanted to be that close with. Soul-sharing had always sounded somewhat painful and terribly permanent. Hearing the talk, the stories, the songs and poems, he realized he had never felt that pull. Not until…

His gaze dropped to his shoes. “I’m scared that I won’t be good enough, I don’t even know how to do the bonding and what if, what if she sees all of it Laure.” When he looked back at Laure it was with that desperate need of comfort he’d had when he arrived in Gondolin.

Ah, so that was it. His smile grew softer and he reached out to give Rog a reassuring squeeze of his arm and gestured that he sit himself down before doing the same in the opposite chair. “Please, sit and help yourself to anything to drink.”

He should have realised really that this might be an issue for him, but then it wasn’t his place to bring such a sensitive subject up. No-ones’s place really, for it was such a personal subject and not really discussed. It just kind of was and whilst it was wonderful in some ways, he could fully understand how in other ways it was not.

He bit his bottom lip lightly whilst finding the right words then took a deep breath and nodded once to himself.

“You don’t need to do anything, for a start,” he said, a small shrug, “ask Eru for his blessing and the rest is out of your hands, so to speak. I don’t know what you’ve heard, but it’s not like the other person gets to read your mind and suddenly know all of your deepest darkest memories. You’re still individual people, you don’t need to worry about that.”

He would have gone on, but he thought it best to give him just a bit, for now. Give him a chance to take things in and calm his worries.
