before i go for the night, please consider the following happening w beth/court:

beth notices courtney no longer has her dad’s necklace

beth asks about it, courtney kind of half-assedly explains why it meant so much to her, and the next day beth brings her a dopey little star necklace

“it’s not the same, but it might help you feel less like something’s missing”

(it doesnt really change anything but it reminds court of beth and thats what matters)

cut to post 1x13

court notices beth’s particularly upset abt not having chuck one day

court asks her about it, beth talks a little about how she sometimes feels lonely without him but doesn’t go into the weeds of it

the next day they go out together and court buys beth a dopey pair of sunglasses, squeezes her hand, and goes “its not the same, but maybe it’ll help you feel less like something’s missing”
