Oh no, there’s only one bed?!
Some Baki Men x GN Reader
Warnings, it’s fluffy.
The boys are dumb, they might have lived to fight their strongest rivals but sharing a bed with you? Clutching their pearls!
(I’m keeping my promise to that one person who asked for Baki.)
Baki Hanma
The room was barely big enough for the single mattress. It also didn’t help that it looked terribly small with it shoved against the wall. You could hear Baki drop his bag by the door with the sound of a soft hum cueing you in that he had noticed the predicament. You turned to catch him staring at the bed like he was weighing a new opponent.
“There’s only one bed,” he said finally, voice plain. Then, glancing up at you, he added with an awkward scratch to the back of his neck, “Do you…want to share? If not, it’s cool. I can crash on the floor.”
You found yourself raising a brow at that. “You’d seriously sleep on the floor after fighting all day?”
He gave your words a dismissive shrug, “I’ve slept in worse places. Besides, I don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”
There was no teasing in his voice, just genuine concern.
For a moment you wondered what choice you should make. He’d left the choice up to you after all. It would be inappropriate to share a bed but at the same time you always enjoyed being close to the fighter. This might just be the perfect excuse to take your relationship to the next level!
Because honestly, Baki would never make such a bold first move. Not for lack of interest but because that was how much he respected you. He always made it clear in his calm and assuring way that you could make your own choices.
So you walked swiftly to the bed before sitting down and patted the empty space beside you. Even with your clear invention Baki still hesitated, not because he didn’t want to but because his heart had suddenly started racing.
“You sure?” he asked quietly.
You nodded. “I’m sure.”
So Baki sat down on the very edge, stiff as a board, staring at the ceiling. Before slowly leaning his head on your shoulder. After a long silence, he muttered under his breath, “…You’re warmer than I thought.”

Katsumi Orochi
The room was small, barely enough space for the single mattress in the corner. Katsumi stood by the door, hands tucked nervously into his pockets, staring at the bed like it had suddenly grown sharper teeth.
“Well…” he began, voice calm but slightly strained, “there’s only one bed.” He gave a small, awkward smile. “Not that I mind, of course. You should…take it. My mom raised me to be polite, after all.”
You raised an eyebrow. “You’re offering the bed? Seriously?”
Katsumi chuckled lightly, “Yes, really. I’m fine on the floor. Linoleum, rug…I can make do.” He tried to laugh off the slight heat rising in his chest. “I’m very…adaptable.”
You found yourself shaking your head with a teasing smile. “You’re being dramatic.”
He grinned, a little forced but his eyes betrayed him. “Dramatic? Me? Never. I just…prefer that you’re comfortable. That’s all.”
When you climbed onto the bed, Katsumi settled himself on the floor beside it, careful not to encroach but secretly acutely aware of how close the warmth was. His hands rested lightly on his knees, his mind racing despite the calm mask he wore.
“Totally fine,” he muttered under his breath, stealing glances at you. “Mom would be proud.”

Retsu Kaiou
The room smelled faintly of wood polish and the evening air drifting through the open window. Retsu glanced at the single mattress in the corner, then back at MC with his usual serene expression.
“There’s only one bed,” he said softly, hands folded in front of him. “Please, you take it. I will sleep on the floor.”
You tilted their head. “Really? You don’t mind?”
Retsu shook his head gently. “I am accustomed to sleeping on tatami mats at the temple. This floor is hardly different. Comfort is yours to enjoy.”
You couldn’t help but smile at his politeness. “You really make it sound like it’s a treat for me.”
He gave a small laugh, quiet and warm. “Perhaps. Or perhaps it is simply my way of caring for you.”
As you eased onto the mattress, Retsu carefully laid out a thin blanket on the floor, kneeling beside it. His movements were deliberate, domestic in a way that seemed foreign but calming in this chaotic world.
“Good night,” he said, voice soft. “Sleep well.”
You glanced down at him, heart warming at the quiet intimacy of the gesture. “You too, Retsu.”
And with that, he curled up on the floor, calm and composed, radiating a sense of peace that made sharing a tiny room feel less cramped and far more intimate than either expected.

Kaoru Hanayama
The motel room was quiet, dim light spilling from the window onto the single mattress shoved against the wall. Kaoru leaned against the doorway, arms crossed, calm and unreadable.
“There’s only one bed,” he said softly, voice even. “You can take it. I’ll manage on the floor.”
You hesitated, unsure whether he was joking or testing you. Kaoru’s dark eyes followed every microexpression, analyzing, calculating but his face remained serene.
“I…okay,” You said finally, climbing onto the bed.
Kaoru gave a faint nod and settled onto the floor near the edge, making no move to crowd the space. Every now and then, he would glance at you, noting how you adjusted the blanket, how you shifted in your sleep. There was a tension there unspoken, almost imperceptible, that made the room feel warmer than it had any right to.
Kaoru’s eyes softened just slightly, enough to notice, before returning to his usual composed demeanor.

Jack Hanma
The motel room was cramped, a single mattress shoved against the far wall. Jack dropped his bag with a loud thud and immediately sized up the bed like it was a sparring opponent.
“Looks like we’ve got a problem,” he said, grinning. “One bed…and two of us.”
You froze, unsure if he was joking.
“I can sleep on the floor,” he added casually, though the corner of his mouth twitched like he really didn’t want to. “But…if you want the bed, go ahead.”
You tilted your head, smirking. “You sure you don’t mind?” Though you left the question hanging you still found yourself moving to the bed to sit down. After all, it had been a long day and you desperately wanted to rest.
Jack shrugged, tossing his massive frame onto the edge of the bed with a grin. His shoulder brushed against yours ever so slightly, deliberately, his eyes glinting with mischief. “Actually…it’s kind of cozy.”
You laughed nervously, climbing onto the bed beside him. Jack’s grin widened, clearly enjoying the tension but he didn’t push. Instead, he stretched out carefully, leaving just enough space to tease without overwhelming.
As the room grew quiet, the sound of his slow, even breathing filled the air. You realized this wasn’t just Jack being playful. There was a careful attentiveness behind it, a subtle acknowledgment that, for tonight, sharing the space was a new kind of sparring…only this time, with hearts.
