Out of all the people in healthcare that I have seen as my patients, everyone and their mom will come wearing scrubs EXCEPT physicians. Unless they are straight up retired, almost every nurse, medical assistant, and dental hygienist will come in scrubs to their appointment, but the doctors...STEALTH. I used to get nervous when I saw scrubs but now they're kind of a guarantee that the person I'm speaking to would benefit from my back-to-basics explanation of what's going on and what we are doing.

And then some emergency medicine doc in a t-shirt quietly listens to me explain to him that LDL is "bad cholesterol" and a fucking psychiatry attending lets me brief her on the blood clot risk of oral contraceptives. What the fuck!! That should be illegal!!!!!!!!!! For my sanity and emotional well-being!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
