Glaceon is able to lower its body temperature very quickly. It freezes the atmosphere, creating diamond dust that glitters like gems while it flutters and dances around.
In the Kingdom of Arendelle, it is a tradition for newborn members of the royal family to be gifted their very first Pokémon. In the past, any Pokémon would be chosen for the royal baby. For King Agnarr, he already agreed with his wife that every of their children with receive an Eevee. Princess Anna is yet to be born, but she would also receive a baby Eevee upon her birth. For the newborn Elsa, she will also receive an Eevee. The baby Pokémon is hardly bothered by Elsa's first display of power, intent on licking away at her first frozen tear.
One day before the tragic accident between the young princesses, King Agnarr and Queen Iduna gift Elsa and her Eevee with a coveted Ice Stone as a show of encouragement. That day, Elsa's first Pokémon—always the one to enjoy Elsa's powers, perhaps even more than the young Anna—evolved the female Eevee into Glaceon. Both owner and Pokémon were excited for this change, welcoming it. After the accident, Glaceon quickly attempts to try comfort Elsa after sensing her owner's pain. Sadly, her attempts hardly worked. Elsa, however, could hardly look her Pokémon's new form, not after what she had done to Anna with her own cold power.
With Elsa being unable to control her own powers, Glaceon is unable to properly learn how to use her new powers. With or without her control, Glaceon curls next to Elsa. Between the two of them, Glaceon is more friendlier than the shy Elsa, but her loyalty lies with Elsa; they have been bound to each other's side since birth. As Elsa grows to resent her power, Glaceon continues to love them. If Glaceon had not evolved into its new form, Elsa would have cut off the Pokémon once she begun her isolation...

Second Pokémon: Ninetales
Possessing a calm demeanor, this Pokémon was revered as a deity incarnate before it was identified as a regional variant of Ninetales. (Alolan form)
On the night when the royal family secretly flee into the mountains to seek help for the ice-stricken princess, it is not just the trolls that notice Elsa. A creature of grace and danger travels from the North Mountain, sensing the powers of Elsa. Though this female Ninetales does not like humans, she has abandoned her enjoyable isolation in the North Mountains to travel to the domain of the trolls to investigate the curious matter. She keeps her distance, both out of tiny respect for the trolls as well as the growing wariness over the small group of humans.
Upon observing the colorful yet concerning vision from the eldest troll, the Ninetales took an interest in the flaxen-haired human. As the humans begin to leave to return to their royal abode, Ninetales follows them at a distance to watch them interact. The smallest youngling, the one that was so close to an icy death, is healed from her troubles, but the eldest youngling was still not happy. Sensing a strangeness that humans did not have from the fragile youngling, the very old Pokémon had decided she must learn more. For many nights, only when the castle staff have all retired to their beds, is when the Ninetales will prowl the castle grounds. It moved as if it owned the entire royal grounds, but Ninetales had glared when she caught the sight of a curious Glaceon staring out a window... Clearly, Ninetales already acted as if she owned this land as much as her den in the North Mountain.
The next night, the Glaceon would properly introduce herself in the royal gardens. Through the help of Glaceon, the two Ice-type Pokémon learns that the eldest youngling—Elsa, the Glaceon corrected her—does indeed have such unusual powers that other humans did not have. Glaceon shares the information of the two sisters, mostly rambling in order to relieve herself of some stress; with how much Elsa isolated herself, Glaceon rarely had the chance to talk to another Pokémon, or even play with Anna and her hyper Eevee like the days before their accident. After being subjected to Glaceon's concerned rambling, Ninetales decided right there and then Elsa must be taken under her tail; she has raised enough baby Vulpix in her time, so both Elsa and Glaceon should be an easy task.
Elsa will eventually meet the Pokémon, all thanks to Glaceon sneaking her into the castle. The relationship between the princess and Pokémon is rocky at best, but Elsa will quickly learn that Ninetales is more motherly than standoffish... A much, much more strict mother, but still a mother all the same. Elsa intended for her parents to not find about this Pokémon, but Ninetales had none of that. In fact, Ninetales is the one that revealed herself to the youngling's parents. If she is to teach Elsa how to walk, so to speak, then she must meet her parents; her sister can wait, mostly since Ninetales did not have much interest in adopting more children. Plus, Glaceon is already a handful, so adding Anna and her Eevee sounded like a headache waiting to happen. Ninetales did not like humans, she did not like them at the best of times, but it's only proper to at least meet Elsa's parents.

Third Pokémon: Froslass
A Pokémon inhabited by the soul of a woman who died bearing a grudge in the snowy mountains. Legends of Froslass placing deathly curses on misbehaving men send shivers down my spine.
Long before Agnarr met the love of his life and presented the people with his children, life at the royal castle was...not filled with good cheer. Both him and King Runeard, his father, had unexpectedly lost his dear mother, but not because death had claimed her. Rather than dying from natural causes or childbirth, his mother left them. No one knew why the queen had disappeared in the middle of the night, but whispers begun to spread that the king had been too much to handle. With a young son and an entire kingdom to handle, the king spent his free time with an attractive servant girl. It had been nice to forget about his workload and thoughts while in bed with this pretty face.
Any pleasantries behind closed doors came to an unexpected end with he discovered the scullery maid had come with child, specifically his bastard. Not wanting to deal with the potential outlash of the news, he had sent the young lover to the dungeon; to anyone who asked, he said he caught the servant trying to steal from right underneath his nose. She cried and pleaded for him to change his mind, but he still sent her away until he could wait to do.
As days passed in her cold cell, she dealt with an intense heartache, for she had fallen in love with him, or that's what she thought love was... Weak from hunger, all the young woman could feel is shock when King Runeard finally graced her cell with his presence. She expected him to think more clearly for her, for the unborn child in her womb. He, however, looked upon her coldly; in this moment, she realized he was truly looking at her now. With not a trace of remorse in his eyes, the King of Arendelle ordered her to be banished to the snowy mountains for her crime. He personally saw fit to make sure she was to be abandoned in the mountains; no one was none the wiser about the child in her stomach.
By the time death came to claim her and her unborn child, all that was left in the unknown woman was a deep grudge against the royal family. She swore that she would haunt the halls, to never waver in her grudge. It comes to no surprise for her soul to eventually go down the route of becoming a Froslass, the female-only species with such frighteningly cold powers. As a Froslass, she has chosen the royal castle grounds as her place of haunt. Rather than living in the caves in the mountains, this Froslass has spent decades haunting the grounds of the royal family. Even when the crown passed to King Runeard's kind-hearted son, Froslass remained.
She used to remember more of her old life when she was a depressed Snorunt, clinging to the memories, but she has since forgotten her human life as a Froslass. Though her name and innermost details of her human life have faded like snow, her grudge remained as strong as her very powers. Though King Agnarr was a just man, Froslass took great delight in cursing the loyalists to the previous king until they left the castle...one way or another. No matter how many men she cursed and haunted, nothing would quell her grudge swirling in her heart.
Meeting thirteen-year-old Elsa, however, made her feel strangely protective. Though she had made a promise to witness the end of the royal family, Froslass felt a kinship to the troubled princess. Her Glaceon was slightly scared of her presence, no doubt remembering the spookier moments in her younger days as an Eevee, but that prideful Ninetales did not have an ounce of fear. The Ninetales looked ready for a fight, judging by her slowly swaying tails.
"Will you do me the honor of keeping my company, Miss Froslass?" Princess Elsa asked after a thoughtful pause. Soon, the child would offer her a cup of lukewarm tea.
Neither of the Pokémon wanted Froslass around, she knew that much, but it was surprisingly Princess Elsa that wanted Froslass to be at her side. Hesitant at first, Froslass accepted the offer; she told herself that she has never tried such pleasant-smelling tea before, so that was why she kept coming around. For the longest of times, Froslass still wasn't sure whether she would betray Elsa because of her direct connection to the royal family. The longer she stayed as a member of Elsa's team, the more unclear her plans for revenge would be...

Fourth Pokémon: Lapras
People have driven Lapras almost to the point of extinction. In the evenings, this Pokémon is said to sing plaintively as it seeks what few others of its kind still remain.
At the age of eighteen years old, Elsa gave her parents a graceful curtsy as they bid her goodbye. To onlookers, the sight of a daughter giving her own parents a mere curtsy—not a hug—would indeed look coldhearted. It has been years since Elsa had requested no one to touch her, including her own Pokémon, out of fear of hurting them. Elsa may have not given her the embrace they longed for, but Glaceon had given them plenty of chilly cuddles. Elsa has not gotten better with her powers, hence her gloves, but Glaceon has improved rapidly over the years.
As her parents, Agnarr and Iduna knew the formal goodbye was Elsa's special way of sending them off on their way. Anna had given them a warm hug, including her own Pokémon team, but Elsa herself has stick to her vow of never touching anyone. They thought to bring their own Pokémon on their journey, but decided against it in order to add an extra layer of protection to their home. Once bidding their beloved daughters and their respective Pokémon goodbye, they left for the journey across the sea, secretly in search for answers...
When Elsa did not receive the letter of their safety from her parents, Elsa began to wait on a balcony. She had already been restless, so their lack of reports were growing more and more concerning.
Glaceon was often found on the balcony railing, though she longed to curl up in Elsa's lap until she gave and petted her; she resisted the urge, attempting to respect her decision. She missed the old days of pets, nonstop cuddles, and endless play... Froslass scoffed at her nostalgia, but Ninetales fired that Froslass does the same exact thing: They both dwell on the past, though for different remains. That, naturally, shut up Froslass.
Ninetales, on the other hand, guarded the door with no real concern about having to freeze any intruders; with that said, she was focused on grooming her cherished tails since they were a point of pride. She did not attempt to comfort Elsa, not when she is aware of how much her owner's worry will only continue to grow. Why waste time and effort over trying to appease the princess when it will be in vain?
Glaceon strongly disagreed with the older Pokémon.
As for Froslass, she strayed from both Pokémon in order to take flight. She said she wanted to give Elsa some space, but anyone with a keen eye for detail would know that Froslass is also looking for any potential messenger birds, or maybe even a ship. Rather than directly keeping an eye on Elsa, she merely floated in Elsa's line of sight. She knew Ninetales would protect the princess, though Glaceon might surprise them both by being a legitimately good defender...
As the days stretched on and on, Elsa's worrying stare into the sea broke out into pacing on the balcony. Why were there no letters? She knew traveling is a hassle, especially traveling by the sea, but she had expected a Flying-type Pokémon to deliver their message of safe arrival. Still, there is nothing to be given to her. She knew she has isolated herself from everyone, but as the eldest princess, she knew she had the right to be properly informed on any news of her parents.
With the nonstop pacing not helping her one bit, Elsa decided to sneak down into the harbor to see if she can gather some news herself. Her team of three Pokémon followed after her, eager to make sure the trip went well. Rather than finding answers, she found to be what looked like a male Lapras. He sung nice and low, but his song is mournful.
Elsa is fully aware of the seafaring Pokémon's sad history, so she had no reason to ask why his song lacked any joy. Nearing the point of being completely extinct from the world would do that, after all. Elsa, understanding his sorrow, instantly approached the creature to ask a request:
"I understand your sorrow, poor Lapras. I fear I have lost my own family, but I also fear that I am merely worrying too much," Elsa begun, careful to not step over the edge. She can swim a little bit, but not as well as the regular children, especially those that are born to fishermen families.
"Will you look for the ship of my parents? If you are able to grant my request, I promise that I will spend the rest of my days as future queen to protect your kind," she said, fully aware she is making a hefty promise. For the sake of her parents, she will do anything. "Near the end of my hopefully long reign, when I am old and withering away, I hope your kind will be as abundant as all Pokémon in the world," Elsa declared, placing a gloved hand on her heart.
The kind-looking Lapras stared into her eyes, studying her for any sign of dishonesty. Time passed, but Elsa did not waver. Slowly, he nodded his head to agree with her offer. It did not sound that hard of a request, not when he knew the seas better than anyone else. If the ship with the Arendelle flags is docked at a port, or still sailing at sea, then he will find them.
"If you are able to find them, please alert me at sunset with a happy song that echoes to the castle. If you cannot find them, then please continue your sad song," Elsa added, knowing fully well that she cannot sneak out as easily as right now. She is good at sneaking around, but the guards are on extra alert with the king being gone.
"If you have no one, my Pokémon and I will welcome you. Thank you for your kindness," the princess spoke, though she had hesitated slightly. Froslass did not like men, including Pokémon, but Ninetales (for the most part) and (definitely) Glaceon would welcome new additions to their team.
He had expected her to smile when he tearfully agreed to her offer, but all she did is curtsy to show her gratitude. He is happy, but his new friend is not moved by his happiness. In response to her curtsy, he bowed his head and swam away...
Elsa's world began to crack when she heard the mourning song of Lapras, but she still held some sort of crazy faith for her parents. Maybe, just maybe, Lapras missed a spot? That had to be it!
Her hope, all of her prayers, went unnoticed when the formal news of the ship being lost at seas reached her ears. Just like that, her world shattered into a million pieces. Her parents are...gone...?
The king is dead—
Long live the queen!

Fifth Pokémon: Weavile
Thanks to its increased intelligence, scrapping over food is a thing of the past. A scratch from its claws will give you a case of frostbite!
Three years had passed since the death of Elsa and Anna's parents, but it still only felt like yesterday for Elsa. Many things have changed since their deaths, but Elsa tried to keep strong. Unable to properly keep Lapras at the castle, she asked for Froslass to deliver treats and other small trinkets. She begrudgingly obeyed, purely to try to lift the burdens from Elsa's shoulders. She has grown so much since they met when she was thirteen years old, so Froslass wanted to make her life just a little bit easier. If she had to deliver gifts to a male Pokémon, then be it. She had yet to properly put Lapras into a Pokéball to join the rest of her team, not when she is busy and distraught.
One month before Elsa's coronation, the Arendelle Castle is broken into by a pair of thieves. As someone who never left her bedchambers, Elsa was not aware of this issue until after the bandits had fled. Elsa's move was to increase in defense, insisting that another attack cannot happen. According to the reports she had been giving, the theft attempt had been led by Pokémon. With little information to give, all they knew is that the Pokémon were searching for...treasures? Certainly not because they were bored, were they?
It couldn't be an issue of food, not when Arendelle is bursting with nature. If it had been in winter, then castle officials could understand the need the break into homes for food and warmth. It isn't winter yet, not when July is in full bloom...
Well, until it wasn't.
July and its beauty came to an abrupt end as Elsa's powers were exposed to the world. Anna, attempting to marry some prince, had refused to give back her glove; she wanted answers, demanded to talk to her more, needing to know why Elsa kept shutting her out. In the middle of the ballroom, Elsa's power came lashing out in all its icy glory. Unable to go back in hiding, or go change to change time, Elsa had run away from the castle, Anna, the people of Arendelle, the unprepared foreign guests, and her own Pokémon team.
Before building her ice castle on top of the North Mountain, even before she absentmindedly created Olaf, she had gotten attacked by a male Weavile. He kept on trying to snatch at her crown, but turned out to be quite surprised by her powers. Elsa, not in the mood, had handled his attacks with surprising fierceness. Just as quickly as he adapted to the change in weather, he also handled her attacks. He could have called on his gang of Sneasels, they were watching them in the shadows of the forest, but he obviously enjoyed this match of strength.
Elsa could have called out Lapras, she had properly caught him in the spare Pokéball she had carried; after her coronation party had ended, she planned to properly welcome him into the team, but her exposed powers butchered the plan... Running across the freezing water helped her to run into Lapras, so she had used this chance to properly put him in the Pokéball. He kept on being loud when she tried to flee from him, so she had caught him to keep him quiet. He was happy to be at her side, properly this time.
Elsa hesitated to send Lapras out, but she handled the confident Weavile all by herself. If Lapras got wounded somehow, she wouldn't know what to do. They were nowhere near anyone at all, so healing him would be impossible. Wanting to be alone, Elsa had distracted the rogue Pokémon by swirling the snow into all of their eyes to blind them. Once more, she fled into the night...
As Marshmallow handled the unwelcomed guests that consisted of her sister, Kristoff, and newly born Olaf, the ice castle was left without its protector. Weavile was back, tracking her own. Elsa caught his admiration of her castle, especially her dress, but his face fell when he noticed her sparkly crown had been gone.
"Did you want to steal my crown?" Elsa glared at him.
He shrugged.
To his credit, he did look pretty convincing. Elsa isn't convinced, however.
"Wait, were you and that gang of Sneasels the ones that broke into my home? To steal treasures?" Elsa is exhausted and emotional, but it didn't dampen her sharp senses.
This time, Weavile smirked. Clearly, he was proud of himself, but he seemed to be impressed by her cleverness.
"Don't look so proud. You still failed," Elsa snapped at him.
Before she could say any more words to the Pokémon, this is when Prince Hans and his small team arrived. He had hung from the ceiling to watch the events take place, clearly interested by the events. She wanted to scold the Pokémon, maybe throw him out of the castle herself, but she had bigger troubles on her hands.
Elsa didn't know what happened to him after the fallen chandelier knocked her out. She didn't see him until after Anna unthawed. What did he do? Begin to steal the broken sword pieces from the sword of Hans. Apparently, this Weavile liked to steal anything it can find. Anna was wary of him, she had most likely seen him and his Sneasels gang, but then immediately softened up when she realized that Elsa and him had history. She didn't know much, not yet, but she clearly wanted to welcome any potential friends.
"He most likely wants your attention, Elsa. I mean, he came all the way from the mountain to see if you were okay," Anna spoke up, now liking the Pokémon.
"You should keep him!" Anna insisted, petting his head. He liked the pets, or maybe he just liked how Anna smelled.
"He tried to steal from us. He attacked me!" Elsa protested. Weavile pouted, but it looked like he was mocking.
"Sure, that's bad, really bad. But he still traveled all the way back down here to see if you were all right!" Anna shook her head.
"Yeah, to see if he could steal more," Elsa grumbled. Hans came all the way here on the frozen fjord to kill her, after all.
Weavile approached her, dropping the broken sword pieces like yesterday's trash as he walked slowly over to her. Then, hidden from the red crown on his head, he produced the discarded crown and handed it over. Not prepared for this, Elsa looked down at the crown, then glared at the Weavile.
"Awww! He wants to make amends!" Anna gushed, happy.
Elsa looked to her Pokémon team, including the recently caught Lapras.
Glaceon, safe in Elsa's arms once more, was too busy snuggling into her arms. She seemed to be happy about everything, so she couldn't properly vote. Elsa clung to her Pokémon, letting her enjoy the reunion between the sisters.
Intent on making sure a certain prince didn't try to escape, Ninetales sat on top of Hans. She had been looking at Weavile for the entire time, studying his every single move. Sagely, she nodded her head in approval.
Froslass shook her head, glaring very scarily at the Pokémon.
Lapras, feeling rather awkward to be the one to be the tiebreaker as well as a new member to the family, had taken the longest to decide. Once looking at the other male more closely, he nodded his head. He can sense a good soul when he saw one, though now Froslass is directing her scary glare towards him... Still, he could not lie about his vote.
Elsa groaned, but reluctantly welcomed him into her team.
Weavile grinned, almost as if he was ready to burst into a happy dance. Elsa sighed, but ignored it.
He had the nerve to place the crown back onto her head. Upon noticing the looks of utter hatred coming from Froslass, he gave her a wink. Froslass glared even harder. Elsa already knew those two were going to be more troubling than Hans and his attempt to steal the throne...

Sixth Pokémon: Articuno
Articuno is a legendary bird Pokémon that can control ice. The flapping of its wings chills the air. As a result, it is said that when this Pokémon flies, snow will fall.
Three years later, Elsa's world has changed for the better.
Hardships have happened, but she has met them without running away. Her relationship with Anna is much better, though her parents were still dead.
Her relationship with her Pokémon were better as well, which made her feel happy...
Glaceon is happier than ever, now feeling more happy to unleash her Ice powers, no longer feeling horrible (and quite guilty) for having mastered her powers first all those years ago. She now likes to decorate herself with her own outfits, mimicking Elsa. She had been awestruck by Elsa's new dress all those years ago.
Though she is still proud as ever, Ninetales is more nostalgic, oddly enough. She has allowed Glaceon to play with her tails. Surprisingly, Ninetales likes to model Glaceon's handmade ice clothes. Elsa swears that Glaceon has better fashion taste than her.
Froslass has broken out of her distant shell some more, but going to the Enchanted Forest and discovering information about Elsa's grandfather had been...very rough on her. If Elsa had tried to embrace Froslass in the past, the Pokemon would try to break free. This time, Froslass welcomed the embrace and support. They have gotten closer on this trip, much closer than she expected. Froslass, surprisingly, loves the beauty of the Enchanted Forest; she has taken a shine to Honeymaren.
Lapras adjusted really well to the rest of the team. Over the years, he had helped Elsa to learn how to swim better. Ironically, his lessons with him had helped her to go into the Dark Sea in order to reach Ahtohallan. Though he had not prepared her to fight the Nøkk, Elsa still appreciated Lapras and his kindness. Between the two male members, he is the most gentlemanly member of the team. Kristoff likes to ask him for advice, purely because Lapras is apparently quite the romantic and also a smooth talker. Just like what he does with Sven, he makes a voice for Lapras.
Even though Elsa didn't want Weavile to even join the team, he had insisted that she send support to his gang back in the forest. Like some kind of untrustworthy diplomat, he said he would stop making unplanned heists across Arendelle. (Spoiler: Weavile still likes to steal things, but they were mostly harmless trinkets.) Though Weavile has proven to be loyal enough to remain on her team, he does like to mess around with Elsa; surprisingly, he is a good sparring partner. Froslass now likes to get into fights with him whenever he got too annoying, so Elsa had to break them up. Multiple times, actually. Ever since they entered the Enchanted Forest, Weavile seems to like to flirt with Froslass in interesting ways, but she ignores his charms.
When Elsa emerges as the Fifth Spirit, it isn't only the water horse to greet her. Before entering the abandoned ruins, she had not noticed the form of a perching Articuno on top of the icy ruins. You see, the voice had distracted... But when she came back from her grave as someone else, something better and stronger? Articuno made its presence known to her. It had been apparently having a chat with the Nøkk while it groomed its feathers. Once noticing her, then sizing her up with its scarlet eyes, the Legendary Pokémon pecked at her Pokéball.
Not one to reject a mythical creature as large and powerful as the blue bird, Elsa the Fifth Spirit had obtained her sixth Pokémon. The team will not be prepared for the newest member, that's for sure. Though she had accepted Articuno as her sixth Pokémon, she gave it the beauty of freedom. Knowing what she knew now, the both of them, after all, deserved to be free to go wherever they please.
