𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 — We don't celebrate                          Christmas, or Hanukkah,                          nor any religious or commercial holiday                          in my household,

𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 — But we do celebrate the                                         Winter Solstice !

                         It's got to be my favorite                          of our observed holidays.                          It's the time of the year where                          we get to stay indoors and                          eat fatty foods.

𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 — It's also the time of the year                          where I'm allowed to stay up                          past Sunset !

                         Because the days are so short                          and productivity is cut to half,                          I'm allowed to do whatever I want                          at any time I want! Which means

𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐊 — I can stay up late and                          work on my lab all night !

“... In the way of what, Ashe? I’ve been trying not to disturb you all too much with my wandering at night, I can’t help my sleep schedule...” He holds his hands up in a surrendering motion, watching the other carefully.

“If... If you kill me, the others will find out easily, you know...” Has he already killed Sirius at this point? Noel only just ‘woke up’ a few minutes ago, he came back to find Ashe investigating his room... And now this.

He glances down for a split second, and notices that the carpet has been moved and there’s something like a trap door underneath it. Noel mumbles to himself, “... What on earth is that...?” He never knew about a basement in his room. Sirius never told him, this detail wasn’t in his memories... how did he not know about this?

He mentally shakes his head -- now’s not the time for that -- and returns his attention to Ashe. “What the Hell were you doing in my room, anyways?” He knows the man is desperate but does he have no sense of privacy?

                         And with great cheer, the children leap,                          as responsibilities bulk in a heap.

                         " It's a snow day ! " , they say,                          " What fun will come our way ! "

                         And as the roads clog with snow,                          adult troubles seem to show.                          What other option but to stay home,                          where the air is nice and warm?

                         Don't let trouble have its way,                                            for today, it's a Snow Day.
