She leans beside him with arms resting atop the railing around the console of the TARDIS, his words bringing out a lighthearted laugh from her chest, smile rising on her features. "A numpty, hm? Is this how you flatter all your companions, Doctor?" A light nudge of her elbow to his arm in light jest, a soft breath escaping her as her gaze turns away from him.
"I enjoy my work at the clinic - helping people who need it, without questions asked. I love it, actually, I just. . .sometimes it gets lonely. sure, i have my assistant, and he's wonderful helping me with running things, i just. . ."
the pause that's stolen reveals how her features shift into something momentarily more sorrowful, a slight truth of sadness to her words before she seems to try and cover it up - smile coming back though not quite as high as before, moving to stand up proper and grip the railing.
"I'm just rambling is all."
