Phos stared at the text message - he had finally gotten a proper cell phone - with some confusion.

Why would Merlot send this to him? Did he somehow come to the conclusion that Phos was a masochist?

Phos stares at it for a moment longer. Or was he trying to say that he was a masochist? Or that he had trouble with the idea of it at all?

Finally, after a five minute pause, Phos replies.

Phos stands in his play room and considers his toys. Each was of quality make and hand-picked long before he met Merlot, but looking through them, they held no spark of interest for him right now.

He wanted... something else, something more...intangible from his pet. Something only time and practice could give him.

It was no matter. He could wait. Ignore the building need. He had already lost his temper too many times, lost control too many times. Merlot deserved better. Not to be used for Phos' pleasure, but to discover his own.

That was the goal.

To see where he reacts best and what draws out the reaction the longest. I would like to push him to his limits of pleasure and then slowly introduce pain until it pushes him over the edge."
