Tw: Drugs, Alcohol, Death, Mental Health.
Torin had been in New York for over a month now, and whilst he had been actively trying to avoid his family, he'd made the decision to stop putting this off. He was visiting their grave for the first time. Since their parents were murdered Torin had been dealing with their death in his own way which involved leaving the city to try and escape it all. His dependency on drugs was clear evidence that this was not working so well for him, and since being back in New York there was a multitude of things on his mind that he’d been trying to ignore.
He’d missed the funeral and never had that closure that he needed. His feelings towards his parents were mixed, hatred towards the way he and his siblings were brought up which then caused friction between him and them. He thought about how the relationship with his siblings could have been better if they’d had a normal childhood and had the chance to actually be children. He and Cian were the closest in age, and before they were five years old, they were two normal young kids, before they started hunting. Whilst he knelt in front of his father's grave, a knot formed in his throat as the resentment and anger he felt towards his father boiled through his blood. He took another swig of the liquor bottle in his hands. This had certainly not been as good of an idea as he’d initially thought.
The way he dealt with things was by running from his problems, finding solace in the bottom of a bottle or a bag of cocaine. Just like now, when it was too much for him to deal with, he uses the key of his motel room to scoop up some of the powder from the plastic bag containing cocaine he’d obtained from a witch. Taking a few more bumps than he usually would, it didn’t take long for him to feel the high as he also finished off the rest of the liquor bottle. Within minutes he felt a numb sensation wash over him, his body fell limp on the ground as his eyes rolled back. He couldn’t see or feel anything as he became completely unresponsive, his heart rate slowed to an impossible pace for someone to still be alive. Everything for him went completely black.
