The preparations for the upcoming wedding had the palace in complete and utter chaos. Mina had never planned a wedding, never even attended one if she was being honest, and seeing how people were rushing about, she wasn’t even sure she wanted to attend this one. Not that it was really a choice with her station. As people were scurrying about, Mina tried her best to stay out of the way while crossing the Hall. Weaving one way, as another person zagged in front of her, she spun slightly to come face to face with the King.
Dipping into a curtsy, Mina dropped her head in respect before she raised herself back up. “Pardon me, Your Majesty.” Her courtly smile was plastered across her lips. If she could get away with never going to court again, Mina would jump at the chance, but alas, it wasn’t really a choice. “I haven’t gotten the chance to offer my condolences about your parents. I am truly sorry for your loss.” It was a simple armor to hid behind, the pleasantries often exchanged between the people of court.
“Also, congratulations on the upcoming wedding. With the amount of running around, I’m assuming it’s going to be a lovely affair.” Of the royal family, the one she hadn’t gotten to know beyond the whispers of others was their new King. Mina wasn’t sure if she had been the one being avoided or doing the avoiding when it came to JP. All she knew was that they never really encountered each other in the time she had spent as Royce’s anchor.
