♜: w. rong number warning— ?
It wasn't unusual for Minato to get messages on his phone constantly (much to the jealousy of Junpei) but most of the time he knew exactly who was messaging him. Whether it was Mitsuru asking him for assistance at student council in Yuuko telling him about an important kendo meeting he always knew the number. Except for this time. A blocked number and always a short message. At first, the blue haired boy ignored the texts -- figuring they were really a wrong number trying to get hold of someone whose email nearly matched his own. It was common, really! But after a couple weeks? They just wouldn't stop; even when he blocked the number. The messages were actually cute at first: little emoticons and short peppy messages....
"(。´∀`)ノ have a good day!"
"(ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧ you'll do great!!!"
"keep on fighting!! ヘ(^o^ヘ)"
Things like that -- little things he didn't pay any mind too. Then they became insistent...
"(。ヘ°) are you ignoring me?"
"email me back when you have the chance. (●´ω`●)ゞ"
"(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ hey!!!"
It would have been more intimidating without the faces attached to the messages. It almost became routine then. One message in the morning, two between classes and one before club. Another message would appear when he got back to the door and the final message always appeared at 12:01 sharp; right after the Dark Hour. It was another thing that, at first, it made sense. No one else knew about the Dark Hour and if it had been sent right before time stopped for most (if not everyone), then it would appear at 12:01. Naturally .. right? Every night though?
It just seemed too coordinated to ignore.
Sighing, Minato opened his eyes, staring up at the ceiling of the train, watching briefcases rattle back and forth across the slotted shelf and yawned when his pocket buzzed. His after school message was early. Reaching into his pocket, the usually sleepy student took his phone out and flipped it open, glancing over the message he received this time. Something about not forgetting to study and doing his best; the usual. He was about to pocket the phone when a wave of curiosity passed over him. He hadn't tried everything...
He hadn't tried messaging his mysterious stranger back...
Swiftly, Minato darted his thumb across the keyboard, typing a short reply back to his pen pal before hitting send, his phone thinking for a moment before his message appeared on screen. Wetting his lips, Minato glanced over his digital words with a quiet sigh and sat back, closing his phone. Maybe that would appease them enough to make them leave him alone for a little while...
"i was thinking about sleeping more today. ..that sounds better than studying."
