throughout act 1, her hair is fastidiously rebraided every morning to help instill normalcy and recreate a part of her regular routine that has otherwise been entirely upended. she wears her hair in two braids that trail from her scalp to just above her shoulderblades, growing it any longer requires care and attention she just doesn't have the time for. furthermore, keeping her hair out of her face and out of anyone's grip is entirely practical as she works with how to adapt to combat. she's a thief, after all, not a fighter.

during act 2, her braids become noticeably messier and messier the further the party progresses into the shadow cursed lands. intricate designs becomes sloppier, easier, and turn into a single braid by the time the party reaches reithwin. upon reaching moonrise, she is so unwell as to lack any energy to maintain her appearance with her usual care. her hair is swept back into a large bun at the nape of her neck, with loose hair escaping frequently to be tucked behind her ears.
