🔗 what are your muse’s standards for meaningful relationships? how quickly do they form relationships like these?if one had to provide an exact list: they need to know each other. they need to have seen each other at their respective worst. they need to have been there for each other at critical situations. they need to have developed a solid enough trust in one another. she needs to be certain that her bullshit is your bullshit and not for anyone else to know. 

stuff like that doesn’t happen every day, and that’s the point. those are the things that make her consider something “meaningful”. it doesn’t happen quickly. she’s a tough one to crack, too. 

🚑 - If your muse was the only person around and someone was injured, would they help? Would they have the experience needed?sure and yes. ash is well versed in first aid and treatment of basic injuries like fractures and burns. she even knows how to sterilize and stitch wounds if it comes down to it. and yeah, she would help someone if no higher circumstances stopped her from doing it. 

🌺 - Does your muse have a favorite flower? Why do they like it?she likes iris plants, because her mother did. not more reasons than that.

💔 how would your muse react to losing a romantic partner? How would they cope?

charles: i think he could deal with it well enough. i mean, it wouldn’t be easy by any means but he could be able to manage, in his own way. probably would bring back old bad coping mechanisms, or would make him disappear to the woods to deal with his dissociative episodes alone. good thing he seldom allows himself romantic partners/actively destroys or distances himself from them whenever they get too real huh!

marcelo: marcelo does NOT deal well with loved ones dying. it’s one of his biggest fears and his main source of trauma. it would absolutely ruin him. no joke, it would really do a big number on him. pumas mate, and if/when their mate dies they tend to snap in some fashion, making them lose control/turning them aggressive and unhinged. that’s why he would never mate with humans. they’re too damn vulnerable and he’s not riskin it.

🎭 - How does your muse handle their emotions? Do they bottle them up or pour them out as soon as they start to feel?

charles: he is quite numb to his own emotions, and he’s not one for displaying strong reactions of any kind. it’s not that he bottles them up, but that they simply aren’t there. he dissociates out of the most intense ones. he’s always come across as very calm and collected because of it (and bc he is, actually), and just not one to fly off the handle. the end result is that you will never see him explosively angry or happy or sad. emotion machine broke.

📊 - How does your muse feel about the state of the world? Could it be better? Could it be worse?

charles: he thinks the world is shit. i mean it’s always been shitty, but right now it’s even worse. and he’s certain it could and will get worse before it’ll get any better (if it will get any better). charles has always been cynical and not your go-to choice for seeing the glass half full, but at least you can see his angle right now. he’s better than he used to be at least, and does think things could get better and there’s genuinely good people out there.

marcelo: has a similar viewpoint, but more optimistic. realistically things are almost cartoonishly bad, which he’s firmly aware of, but he tries to focus on the positive things.

👧 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best? - Ash & Becketts in general

they were ride or die before that term existed, tbh. the becketts have always been a package deal. they grew up together, practically on their own (no parents, just under an uncle’s tutelage), and had to work with one another from the beginning to get to where they are right now. they’re perfect complements of one another (i made them that way), and make for seamless partners in anything they do – be it run a business, a gang, pull off a heist, and anything else they dabble in. they’re infamously efficient at it. they’re well known.

and i think they all get along perfectly, it’s just that each is better for a different circumstance. if you want to have fun and talk shit, you go to jackson. if you want to be quiet or have serious conversations, you go to ash. if you want motivation or a pep talk, you go to malcolm. their personalies have enough differences and similarities that they can stand each other without being exact mirrors of each other.

you could say malcolm is the brawn. he’s clever, quick-thinking, straight to the point, blunt and loudly rebellious. jackson and ash are two sides of a coin being the brains. jackson is good for ideas, ash is good for developing them and anchoring jack’s focus, and malcolm is good for working them in practice.

jackson would be more the face – when they think of the beckett kids, the criminals, they think of him. he’s the crowd control, the charismatic, the bullshitter. he’s just as extroverted as malc, but a bit more tactful and articulate and less prone to going right in on impulses (though he’s pretty impulsive anyway.)

ash is the introvert of the group. she’s a good “technician”. she makes sure jackson’s plans are able to be carried out correctly. she networks to have cameras in a bank disconnected. she gets the untraceable weapons and other necessary supplies. she functions as the de facto getaway driver. malcolm and jackson the ones working the heist in the inside.

so they strike a good balance, but there’s also a not-so-positive aspect and it’s the dependency. it’s not so much viewed in ash or malcolm, but jackson definitely depends a great amount on his siblings. he’s a wreck of a person and relies on his siblings for balance, relies on them to take care of him and pick up after him in many ways, even nowadays, due to his multiple substance abuse issues and mental illnesses. without them he would be a lot worse than he already is and he probably wouldn’t last long.

People always, without fail, assume Ash’s full name to be Ashley. To the point they refer to her as that without previous confirmation. Most of the time, she just says she wants to be called Ash, without bothering to correct the assumption. Her actual name is Ashton.
