Yes, but it was very big on her and he’d thought he could manage it. ❝ She wanted me to get to be a princess for my birthday or something. It was cute. ❞ But now he can’t get it off.

THE CAKE IS NO MASTERPIECE BUT IN TONY’S EYES it’s perfect. It’s probably a better attempt than he could make. He’s at least better at baking than he is at cooking and he hopes she didn’t inherit his skillset there. ❝ Hey, I EARNED those candles. ❞ Tony grins at his daughter. ❝ Thanks, squirt. ❞ Birthdays have changed meaning for him through the years. When he was younger, every year was a blow out party. Fifty is an age he never expected to get to and now...well, each year that passes means a lot more with Morgan and Pepper. ❝ So, are we gonna cut into this sucker or what? ❞

TONY WOKE SLOWLY, SHIFTING SLIGHTLY AS HE started feeling her lips on his skin. ❝ Thanks, gorgeous. ❞ He smiled sleepily when her lips met his, opening his eyes as they parted. Tony pressed another soft kiss to her lips and sighed happily, smile spreading into a grin at the implications of her PRESENT. ❝ Mmmm, well I’d say now but something tells me we’d get interrupted so maybe I should save the best for last. ❞ His hand trailed down her arm and slid over her waist, coming to rest on the small of her back. ❝ Then again... ❞

HE CAN’T QUITE MUSTER UP THE BREATH TO BLOW out all the candles but luckily Morgan is up to the task. He makes one go out and a couple flicker but their little girl takes them all out. Not that there’s a ton. Pepper graciously only put five candles in the cake. Fifty-three. And the first birthday he’s celebrating since the snap. They haven’t talked about it but Tony’s aware of the ELEPHANT in the room. Morgan’s off with Happy and her piece of cake to the other room and he and Pepper have a moment. He takes her hand and smiles, a little tiredly, up at her. ❝ Hey, come down here so I can kiss you. ❞ He tugs at her hand just a little to usher her closer to his level where he’s sitting.
i wasn’t able to get online to do things for tony’s bday the other day (shame on me) but i still want to celebrate my boy so LIKE THIS for a birthday related starter!
