"No," Addy protests quickly, "That just means you got lucky." And Addy isn't one to rely on something like luck. She's all for the chaotic approach, the plans that come out of nowhere and tend to leave a discernible trail of destruction. But there was still thought behind it, something besides just hoping for the best.
"This can barely even be considered an idea, it's more like a fleeting fantasy of what you want to happen. An idea implies you've actually thought about it." And she at least hopes that's not the case, considering how bad of a plan it is.

Despite the situation, there a scoff at the remark with the failed fight move, "Clearly." Addy had figured there was only a matter of time before a hero tried to intervene with her activities. In this case, a seemingly abandoned building she was attempting to blow up of course, it's not about this building, it's about the structure hidden underneath it. Still, there's something that nags at her besides a strange familiarity: he's clearly holding back. Seemingly trying to stop her without causing her too much harm.
She doesn't have the same reservations: she swings for a punch at him with her left arm. "Are they paying you to do this?" Another swing, "Why do you care about some building?" Then, knife in her right hand, she slashes at his direction: not aiming for anything in particular, just trying to switch up the rhythm.

She'd been trying to slip away while Peter did his whole hero thing. She had helped control the situation, sure, but she didn't deal with the public like he did. So while he's distracted, she starts to leave—police will be turning up soon, and she doesn't care to deal with them. Still, it seems Peter caught up to her. Likely using the slight trail of blood that she was leaving.
Honestly, Addy couldn't really tell him just on feeling if she was or not. The enhanced pain tolerance means only major injuries are particularly noticeable. Still, when she thinks about it, she does notice a slight stinging sensation, and pushes her jacket to the side to inspect what seemed to be a few pieces of shrapnel stuck in her side. "Oh, shit," not alarmed, mostly just annoyed. It'll heal, it'll probably heal faster than if someone else had gotten it. Still, it's irritating. She moves her hand away, letting her jacket fall over the injuries once again. "Just some glass in there. Maybe a bit of metal too. I can deal with it when I get to where I'm staying."

It's easy for Nia to act confident in her choices, but her actual belief in herself is limited. Of course she knows she screws everything up, she doesn't need anyone to tell her that, but it's easier, to insist that she had made the right choice then to admit that she's out of her depth and panicking. And even if she did, she doesn't deserve any empathy that honesty might earn her. Still, the self-destruction instinct isn't as prevalent when talking to Peter. Maybe it's the disconnect of him not being involved in any of it, or if everything's just catching up to her. If, when faced with yet another morality-defining decision, she's just given up on trying to act like she knows what to do.
"Honestly, at this point, I don't even know what right is anymore. I keep trying but my head's in heaven, my soles are in hell." She forces out a bitter laugh as she drags a hand across the side of her face.

"We had a plan?" The words are yelled back as Jon returns to the fight after moving a group of civilians out of a building that had been badly damaged and weld the broken supports of the building using his heat vision to avoid it collapsing. Yeah, Jon can't say he would have anticipated that, even if he didn't know about Peter's alleged plan. A blow is directed at Jon, and he takes it, not wanting to risk the potential damage if he had dodged it. It doesn't feel like much, although the initial impact forces a grunt out of him.
"I can keep it busy and you can do...something?" He suggests trying to figure out the best approach to avoid anyone getting hurt.
@sensesdialed. gets something. xo
"I DIDN'T forget." Laura begins as she meets him outside the Avenger's tour. She'd asked him to meet her there, despite his protest - it must have been a difficult sight, knowing that no one within those walls could confidently ID Peter Parker as 'The Spiderman' -- not anymore, meanwhile Peter and Laura have an elongated history. They'd been young teenagers, once safe and sound within those hallowed walls -- now, Laura is taking community college courses under the watchful gaze of Happy and Pepper, trying to make her existence as 'The Wolverine' work in a new shaky atmosphere. "I swear," There, she extends a gift perfectly wrapped (in Spiderman wrapping no less, she thinks she's so funny). "I even bought it with my own allowance this time. I've got a receipt and everythin'." The mutant had often been known for her misplaced five-finger-discount all through her youth. She had to learn the value of a dollar. -- Tony had helped to implement that. Inside is a small LEGO set, of...him. The Spiderman. "I know we both struggle with identity and confidence or...whatever you want to call it but. You should be proud of who you are. I know I am. --" there's a beat and she brushes her lips together. "I could never forget you Peter Parker." she lingers a moment before giving him a nod. "Happy Birthday."

"Mm. Okay, go on. Please elaborate on the good news from this. Because right now what it looks like is that you almost burnt our kitchen down." She likes Peter, she does, but...well, she's pretty sure anyone who's ever called her chaotic would combust on the spot if they ever met him. Which....definitely made living with him a challenge, at points.
