what is your view on people referring to tom as an abuser or how they imply he's been stalking liz?
i have been amped up to answer this all day, to be honest, dear anon.
before i begin, though, i want to say that i will not be discussing or ranting at all about the whole things where people think he abused her… i have already sounded off about that. and if you wanna read that? you can click here.
now… as usual? spoilers ahead.
to me, the notion that jacob is stalking liz is beyond ludicrous for a handful of reasons. first of all, for him to be stalking her? it would have to be that he is the one calling her and or seeking her out or being in places she doesn’t wish him to be. there is one canonical instance of him showing up out of the blue on her and that is when he came to her because he didn’t know where else to go and mentioned how long he’s been ‘on the run’ / how he doesn’t want to run anymore.
since that moment? liz has been the one to not just call him, but to go to him. she went to his safehouse to ask him if they could use that to help red after he’d been shot — which he said yes and not simply protected red in that but he protected him by being involved in the shoot out that cost him that safehouse. she went to him for help when she was confused about red’s loyalties after that, in the rain and he offered her comfort. she went to him on his boat on numerous occasions, most of which have been to be patched up or for… sex, which he did not pressure her for.
so tell me, how is it that he has been stalking her? there is legitimately no foundations in that notion. not to mention that he played a massive and key role in liz’s exoneration from things more than once.
