      boy is sure of very few things - - but he is sure just as the seasons change each year loyally, he is  in love with will byers !   heart thumps loudly in chest, not a single  doubt in his mind of his answer.    do you love will ?   yes, yes, one hundred thousand and eight time’s yes ! 

         no hesitation, it’s like a breath of air – “ yes, i do. ”

        he hears it everywhere, that piercing scream       *    it’s dark,  he’s all alone but he feels  something else, something lurking in the shadows.  he calls out in vain, no one can hear him —–  no one is coming,  you’re alone…    but is he really ?

        jolted awake, heart booming in frantic chest      /       it doesn’t feel right !  it hurts, the air feels heavy and fuzzy and he can’t focus !   he can’t breathe !   desperate gasps escape quivering lips, the urge to cry thrown out the window in place of his pride.   can’t let his brother see him afraid of a nightmare !  what a wuss !

       “ wha– what time is it ?  why’d you wake me up !  ” awful  attempt at keeping voice steady, you’re afraid,  anyone could see it clear as day on your face !
