      boy is sure of very few things - - but he is sure just as the seasons change each year loyally, he is  in love with will byers !   heart thumps loudly in chest, not a single  doubt in his mind of his answer.    do you love will ?   yes, yes, one hundred thousand and eight time’s yes ! 

         no hesitation, it’s like a breath of air – “ yes, i do. ”

       boy stands in horrified awe,   mouth agape and watery eyes wide — this isn’t right !  his friend is in there !  in that body, trapped &&.  he can’t come back !   anger boils through veins, heart aching at the scene before him.  stay strong will,  please, for yourself      /     for me.

         he never leaves his side, not when he’s strapped down to a hospital bed  nor  when he’s tied up in the byers’ shed.   this will be over soon,  it can’t have him !  he won’t let it, not if it kills him —– that thing can not have his friend, he will not stand for it.  “ will, i know  that you’re still in there, so please….hang on, i’ll  — we’ll, save you. ”
