“It’s just not physically possible...” Otto only half-lies, the guilt trapped in his throat. It runs in the family! That voice bounces in his head like the echo of a deep and undiscovered cave. He loves her, he loves Rosie more than he could ever admit! He has always wanted a family, to settle down with her properly- but, again, it echoes; it runs in the family! Torbert Octavius was the only father he had in his lifetime, and Otto fears all the lessons he’s taught will be utilized... on accident or on purpose ( I’ve got to knock some sense into you, or else nobody else will ! ).

“Is it, now?” Otto can’t help it; he looks at her and sees the face of his sweet little girl, no older than maybe ten or eleven. When had time moved so quickly? The arms seem to hiss at her in retaliation, as if in attempt to will her back, but Otto knew better than to restrict her. She’s a big girl now... if only Rosie could see her ( like father, like daughter, huh? ). Otto steps aside as instructed, because he knows she can handle herself... but he doesn’t stand back. He’s stubborn that way ( and maybe she got that from him... ).

7. ‘  i’ve missed you  ’ kiss

A hand steadies himself on the smaller man’s shoulder, the other tracing a thumb over his cheek. He hadn’t technically been gone that long, a week is not much, but he had been so very alone in that time and... he dearly missed Norman, more than he could admit. The press of lips is less of a kiss and more like an admission of that, of wishing he’d just stayed back instead, let the conference go on without him. But Otto thrives in companionship, and to be without Norman’s is never by choice.

He can already feel the headache coming on; Otto readjusts his glasses with a frown, knowing fairly well the kinds of trouble she can be. It’s not like he’s known her incredibly long but, with what he does know, she’s got a penchant for getting on his nerves. “I don’t make promises that I can’t keep.”
