Standing in the middle of a clearing close to camp, since she was practically forbidden from leaving, Adelaide tossed her bow on the ground after missing the target completely. What the hell was wrong with her? This situation with mother and father was getting out of hand! One minute everything was fantastic, perfect even, and now… well, now Adelaide couldn’t look at either of them without tears welling in eyes. And now it was affecting a life skill. The tree directly behind the target appeared to have done something personal to the outlaw as many arrows were stick from the bark. Frustration grew as the bow was snatch back from the ground. “Breathe, Adelaide.” She chastised. Eyes closed to take in surroundings; the sounds, the smells, the feel of the slight breeze. Arms locked, shoulders square, feet planted, fingers deft but loose around the neck. A deep breath in. A release. A miss. A scream followed but the offending weapon being tossed to the ground in favor of a fireball flying at the target. Anger burned skin, fire lit tear filled brown eyes, but a smirk curled on lips. “Bullseye.” That felt good.
Shooting skills may leave a lot to be desired right now but other sense were still in high gear. The sound of footsteps had the brunette turning quickly ready to defend herself any way necessary. A wave of relief washed over as soon as Ruby came into view. “You startled me.” She chuckled, slightly embarrassed she may have caught the little tantrum just thrown. “I’m sorry if I disturbed you!”
