Tension seemed to wrap Adelaide tight these days leading to unneeded tingling beneath skin. There was no reason for magic to present itself after a short training session with ‘father’, yet emotions seemed to win out. Every time she looked at her parents lately there was a feeling of dread. Was she even wanted? Perhaps, if she hadn’t of been born the two could have a life they wanted. There was no denying the magic possessed was a hindrance to Robin and the Merry Men. Of course, Robin and mother loved her. She knew that. Deep down she knew if mother didn’t she would have been left behind all those years ago. But she can’t help but think life would be easier for them all if she weren’t around.
With a heavy heart and matching sigh, Adelaide turned from the camp to wander. Her mind needed to be clear before returning home. Not far there’s a place she visited often with a few village friends made over the years. She wasn’t sure if she wished to see them now or not, but either way it would help calm her.
Upon entering the small clearing, a smile grew noticing it was empty. There didn’t seem to be anyone around which allowed her the chance to release energy. Eyes closed, fingers flexed, and magic was released into the air. A beam of white light. Something she never truly understood. The few times mother used magic it was surrounded by hues of purple. Without care of being seen, Adelaide played with the part of herself meant to be locked away.
