this picnic event is supposed to be relaxing, isn’t it? chaewon didn’t get to really experience all that it had to offer yesterday, thanks to her and eric’s accident on the swan paddle boat that they’d rented, so she came back today. her first stop was the food trucks for a cup of coffee, followed by a walk through the carnival booths. she didn’t take part in any of the games or attractions herself. chaewon’s budget was pretty limited these days, and after yesterday’s rental disaster, she’s not looking to spend too much more money at the picnic.
still, she can’t resist shiny things, and after her trip through the carnival booths, she finds herself at the arts and crafts market. chaewon’s attention is grabbed by a table displaying an assortment of sparkly handmade jewelry. earrings, bracelets, and necklaces galore. it takes her a while to narrow it down to two different sets of dangly earrings, but she likes them both equally. why didn’t she take jie with her to help her choose? anyone would do at this stage ... so when she spies a guy not too far away, she shoots him a wave.
“can i ask your opinion on something? which ones do you like better? the blue ones or the orange ones?” she holds them up, one pair in each hand.
