because I promised Erika I would write this forever ago
The small girls eye's closed, trying to memorize the feeling of his rough hand on her cheek, she didn't want this to end, she didn't want to see him walk out that door, but she knew she had to, she knew it was his job, she knew he would come back, but even knowing that she couldn't stop a single tear from escaping.
"Look at me," she heard his rough but some how soothing voice tell her. Waiting a few seconds with no avail, he added a strained please, and not baring to keep her eyes shut any longer, Erika slowed opened her eyes, leading to a small smile to appear on the older mans face. "listen, you know I love you right?" slowly she nodded, a small part of her afraid of where this was going.
"Then you know that no matter how many times I have to leave, and no matter for how long, I will always, always, come back for you, so please, for me, don't cry."
"Okay" she managed to get out, as he moved his hand from her cheek in order to put a lock of he dark hair behind her ear.
Slowly he walked to the door, grabbing his bag, and leaving her with only the memory of his touch
"I love you Jeremy" she whispered, her eyes closing again, her hand finding it's way to where his used to be.
