They are both discussing a few terms about the next mission they will have together. It's a late evening, and they are certainly both tired, but Mads appreciate that Coby keeps up with his nocturnal habits, and is willing to help. Honestly... Mads feels clearly comfortable with Coby around. He's always cautious, smart, and well-mannered. Mads definitely grew attached to the pink-haired man, even if he doesn't really know how to express those emotions blooming inside of his cold heart. It's an alien sensation after all. Coby is still focused, but Mads, at this point, doesn't think about anything else but his pretty face, his eyes full of life and curiosity... and those peachy lips. "Coby, have a break." Mads orders, gently circling the other one's chin. Their eyes meet, and for once, the vice-admiral has the sensation he can't control himself. "I'm..." Talking wouldn't help. Instead of that, Mads leans down, and softly presses his lips against Coby's, hoping that his cadet wouldn't die on his spot.
Plans had to be settled and he was grateful that Mads had no problem working a bit extra as well, for even though he was feeling exhaustion creep into his thoughts from a busy day, Coby knew he’d feel better once they sorted out the details. It would calm his anxious mind even with the inherent understanding that things wouldn’t always go according to plan, but it was better to cover their bases. Eyes focused upon the map spread upon the desk intensely until he heard the Vice Admiral speak, telling him to take a break. Gaze was broken and instead moved to Mads’ face in surprise as he felt a hand upon his chin, their eyes meeting, not fully able to decipher what was swirling in the other’s eyes. There was something there, something the man clearly was unable to vocalize either, but Coby would be patient for him to sort out his thoughts. It didn’t take long, not when gentle lips pressed to his own.
With that, the Captain’s brain entirely short-circuited, sending salvos of electricity along his limbs, surprise eating away at every capillary as he only froze. This... was this... were they... kissing!? Face turned red as his thoughts gradually returned to him, fingertips cold from the shock and given that all of his blood had rushed to his cheeks in his flush. Limbs felt like jelly not long after this split second, and he felt like melting now, uncertain if onto the floor or into the kiss, his own lips having pursed slightly in an attempt to return the gesture.
Though the moment seemed to last an eternity it was over just nearly as quickly as it had started, Coby realized his head was spinning, putting a hand out to the desk to keep himself steady. “W-wow...” was all the Captain managed, static infringing on the edges of his vision. “S-sir... Mads... I...” he attempted to warn before collapsing.
