Favorite character: Scarlemagne! I can't express how much I expected to not like him and then he became my fave character.

Character I find most attractive: There wasn't really anyone I was attracted to in this series tbh. I guess Roberto was pretty?

a random thought: Wolf deserved a spin-off movie and it's a crime that she hasn't got one.

An unpopular opinion: Okay, ready the pitchforks here, but I... actually kinda thought that Wolf and Kipo's dynamic would've worked well if it had been presented as romantic instead? Like, I love all the canon wlw ships, but I feel like so far there hasn't been one that I've personally connected to or been able to get super invested in. But if Wolf and Kipo had been a ship, then that would've become a hardcore fave for me. Though I feel bad about this, since the series made it clear that wasn't how we were supposed to view these two characters. I'm sorry sob

when or if I started shipping it: Literally years before I actually watched the show.

my thoughts: Their dynamic is what carries an already entertaining show. Every time these two are on screen together it's wonderful. They have that perfect balance of genuine feelings, drama, humour and suffering. Like, I struggle to think of another dynamic that's as engaging as Merlin and Arthur are in this series, full stop.

What makes me happy about them: Canon

What makes me sad about them: Canon

things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven't read any fanfics, so I can't really comment, but if there's Gwen-bashing, then I'm not about that.

things I look for in fanfic: Not really a shippy thing, but I genuinely want to read a post-epilogue fic where old!Merlin wakes up Arthur and then drags him along on his wacky adventures.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I like shipping them both with Gwen and with all of the knights.

My happily ever after for them: Nah, I'm not gonna mess with the perfectly messed up ending they got. No happy ending this time.

who is the big spoon/little spoon: Arthur would be the big spoon if he could just tell Merlin that he wants to be.

what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Insulting each other.

Flora Reinhold

How I feel about this character: Flora is fine. And that's about it? I feel bad that the writers treated her badly in every game after the first one, but I also don't have very strong feelings about her, if I'm completely honest.

All the people I ship romantically with this character: I don't have any ships for Flora. I used to crackship Flora & Arianna, so maybe that.

My non-romantic OTP for this character: Flora & being around people who don't ditch her.

My unpopular opinion about this character: I genuinely don't think they planned anything for Flora beyond the first game. The ending being her leaving the village was a nice gesture, but then it kinda feels like the writers were stuck with her and didn't know what to do with her. Which might be why they kept coming up with excuses to write her out, but I'm just guessing here.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: That she'd been treated more respectfully when she had gone with Layton or, alternately, that she'd stayed at the village and became an awesome robot mechanic with Bruno.

Iida/Todoroki because I'm genuinely curious, also Arthur/Merlin because I never watched the show and I wanna know what this is all about XD

Iida/Todoroki: What made you ship it? I saw @101flavoursofweird reblog content for them and thought it looked cute! Admittedly, it did kind of boil down to them just being two nice characters who I wasn’t already strongly invested in shipping elsewhere, but I do genuinely think they have some good and underrated moments together in the series. What are your favorite things about the ship? I just like ships that take Todoroki out of the drama of his family and give him a space completely separate from it. It also seems like Todoroki is drawn to personalities that are much louder than his that he can just chill around, which is something that Iida ticks the boxes for. Also, since Iida is just Rei from Free!, this ship is essentially ReiHaru, which I’m also here for. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I feel like this is one of those “not mainstream but has a small, dedicated following” ships, so I guess that I like it more than more popular options is my unpopular opinion. Then again, are there any popular ships for Iida? Arthur/Merlin: What made you ship it? You just have to see these two interacting for more than a few seconds to ship them. You don’t even need to watch the show to ship them, just look at any gifset on tumblr. But seriously, when I was younger I watch bits and pieces of season one and decided that I shipped them. Last year I went back to watch the whole series and learned that shipping them was correct. What are your favorite things about the ship? I know “they have chemistry” is an easy answer, but they just do, okay? There’s a lot of excellent stuff in BBC Merlin, but I do think the relationship between Merlin and Arthur is absolutely what carried the series. Every moment they’re on screen together is engaging, whether it’s the silly banter they have or the angsty drama. Like, Merlin commits treason as a powermove upon first meeting Arthur and that sets them up for the rest of the series, really. Plus, you have the “will they, won’t they” of Arthur finding out about Merlin’s powers that they squeezed every last drop out of up until the very end of the series. Also, the finale. It was kinda messed up, but in the best possible way. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I don’t want to write fix-it fanfiction to retcon the finale. I absolutely want to embrace the finale and instead write fanfiction around how hilarious their dynamic could be when Arthur wakes up to find that gremlin he had a crush on is now the universe’s most chaotic magic pensioner loool

Two characters who are both in love with someone else, but when their crush(es) don't/doesn't return their feelings, they turn to each other for comfort and find... something with each other. "Well you can't get what you want, But you can get me," as Melancholy Hill says.

...Also, I'd say Merlin (ilu merlin but yeah), but I know how the series ends, so he suffers lol

Probably Digimon Adventure 01 or 02. Because, like, Tamers is my fave, but the Tamers world is super intense. So I'd want to go on the fun adventure world with my fated Digimon companion in the Digital World.

1. if you could hit any character without repercussions, who would it be?

There's, like, so many that it's hard to choose! :D I'd say that I'd hit Merlin, but then he'd probably enjoy it too much and that'd be a mood-killer. So I guess I'd hit ____ for being so boring and stopping his superior brother from being the love interest instead. ;)

8. do you prefer happy, bittersweet, or sad endings?

I mean 99.9% of everything I write has a bittersweet ending, so I guess this one answers itself. I do like both happy and sad ending, too, but I guess I just trust bittersweet endings more, without feeling too sad by them?

14. name a fandom, ship, or character that you love that others would send you hate mail for liking.

Admittedly, I do have a lot of ships that do not pass the 2020 tumblr litmus test, but I'm not brave enough to list most of them. I guess I can say Klaus/Ben? Since AO3 tells me that Umbrella Academy fandom is cool with shipping within that, uh, circle and, like, Luther/Allison is implied in canon anyway.

17. are there any tropes you wished were used less often?

Soulmates, unless it's used for either comedic purposes or to explore how interesting it could be to live in a world subjected to soulmates tropes, but not end up with the person you're destined to be with or something like that.
