Show: She Ra or Steven Universe? Character: Maes Hughes or Aizawa from MHA? Pairing: Merlin/Arthur or Merlin/Lancelot? (I know it’s canon that all the knights and Arthur simp for Merlin but still...)

She-Ra or Steven Universe? For me, it’s gotta be SU. Don’t get me wrong, SPOP also brought so much representation to the table and I was on the edge of my seat each time a new season came out, but the characters and stories in SU resonated more with me, personally. Especially Steven himself, Amethyst, Peridot, Sadie, Greg and (eventually) Lars. Maes Hughes or Aizawa? Battle of the dads, huh? WELP, at the risk of sounding slanderous, for me, I think Aizawa squeezes ahead. Hughes is iconic and that’s indisputable, but Aizawa is like my fave in BNHA after the trash boy and he reminds me of one of my OCs, so I like him for egoistical reasons too lol Merlin/Arthur or Merlin/Lancelot? OH THIS IS THE HARDEST ONE!!! Like, Merthur is my fave “not quite canon but whatever” ship. They have all the moments, they have all the banter, they are the heart of the show. But Lancelot was such a good boy and he loved Merlin so much. And! And!! When he was dying for the second time, th-that was totally him in those last moments thanking Merlin and that broke my heart! ...But Lancelot is dead and I looked up spoilers so I know he’s not coming back. I mean, there’s also the other spoiler, so I guess it doesn’t matter. But still. I guess Merlin/Arthur wins, because as much as I’m a Lancelot stan, the sheer wealth of content for Merthur both in the show and fandom cannot be ignored. Also I kinda like Lancelot/Gwen that little bit more? Maybe they can have a foursome since Lancelot is still alive and well, just like all the characters I don’t want to die are.

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves.

Shou Tucker might be a horrific monster, but there's no denying how hard that whole arc hit. The amount of people who list it as something that messed them up when they watched animu as a kid speaks for itself. He's definitely an example of a character who I don't "like", but think was used very effectively by the story.

R - Which friendship/platonic relationship is your favorite in fandom?

Merlin and Gaius! The series knows we want those father-son hugs between these two and it sure does deliver. Even when Merlin's edgy cave dad appeared for that one episode, Gaius is still his dad in my mind.

U - Three favorite characters from three different fandoms, and why they’re your favorites.

SPOP: Scorpia! I was rooting for her all along. I felt a bit disappointed that they built her up so much and then shoved her to the side in the last season, but I am glad that she found a respectful and loving girlfriend in Perfuma.

Merlin: Merlin himself. We've only just started season 3, but I love this magical idiot. The kinda messed up stuff he did at the end of season 2 has only made him more intriguing to me.

Ace Attorney: Klavier Gavin. The glimmerous fop will always have a special place in my heart uwu

Sexuality Headcanon: Hmm… I don’t think I have a strict sexuality hc for Al. I guess I just think of him as someone who falls for people pretty easily, but I haven’t given it much thought beyond that.Gender Headcanon: Cis-male, but I’m open to other gender hcs.A ship I have with said character: I’m boring and just kind of liked Winry/Al. The manga didn’t do much for me and I couldn’t truck it with Brotherhood, so all of my opinions on Al come exclusively from the 03 version. He’s just… so great, man. He’s also the only character who can get away with referring to his brother as “brother” in an English dub and not have it sound awkward lol. Also, while I’m on this topic, I particularly love both of the Elric brothers in the English dub, that’s just the versions that have the most sentimental value to me.

i have to confess that i’m not as familiar with brotherhood as i am with fma 03 and the manga, it just wasn’t for me but i adore al in general. all als are good als. he is the bestest good boy brother, doing what’s right and getting flustered over how pretty gorls are. it is literally impossible to not like al and i’d be incredibly suspicious of anyone who does lol
