Just thinking about Lauriam's Chirithy wearing a silver chain with a charm on it.
Ven holding Lauriam's shoulders while he changes out the feather for a snowflake with trembling fingers.
"Just one,"
Brain gave him a look. A look that meant you know I can't stop at one. A look that meant I'm busy. A look that meant he wanted to.
Lauriam only smiled innocently at him.
"One," Brain caved "Only one."
"I promise to only kiss you once." Lauriam's smile shifted and Brain knew how easy it would be to make him go dark. To lose him.
Brain turned his chair fully away from the terminal.
Lauriam bent down and kissed him. Innocent. Chaste. "Good night."
It made Brain itchy. Lauriam made him crave contact. His hands grasped the other's vest without thought.
"You have work to do still." Lauriam whispered when Brain tugged on him.
"One more." Brain's voice was barely audible.
Lauriam yielded and kissed him again, firmer, longer, and he sank a hand into his hair. "Good night, Brain."
Brain stared at him, unfocused and frustrated. "Invite me."
"But your work."
"Our work can wait. I should sleep too." Brain sighed and thunked his head against his shoulder. "Lauriam."
"Come to bed," Lauriam's voice was soft. "You've barely slept this week, my dear."
"Carry me?" Brain teased.
"You hate being carried and you know it."
"No, I hate that you do it around others. I find it... Pleasant."
"Mm, come along then. I do enjoy putting you on my bed."
