House of Ladies 2020 by @womenasoiaf​ - Day 7 : free choice

Asha Greyjoy, daughter of Balon Greyjoy, self-proclaimed King of Salt and Rock, and Alannys Harlaw. She became Balon’s heir after his two eldest sons died in the rebellion and his youngest one, Theon, had to leave for Winterfell. She is the fiercest woman of the Iron Islands, learned to be bold by her mother’s side, observant by her favorite uncle’s side, and a great warrior thanks to her father. Asha is witty, never afraid of speaking her mind and she’ll never let anyone make her feel less because of her sex, especially not regarding her birthright. She would die as she lived, with an axe in her hand and a laugh upon her lips.

Not that I don’t appreciate Gemma Whelan skills as an actress, she’s very talented, but Yara is not Asha, and the show did not fully show us the awesomeness of this character. As for the fancast I chose Claudia Kim in her role of Khutulun, because the Iron Islands might be quite ethnically-mixed, and her story reminded me a lot of Asha’s, especially with her relationship with her father and younger brother.

House of Ladies 2020 by @womenasoiaf - Day 6 : Arryn

Jeyne Arryn, the maiden of the Vale. She became ruler of the Vale of Arryn at a really young age (3 yo), so until she was of age, Lord Yorbert Royce served as regent. She had to face her cousins ambitions, trying to spoil her of her birthright. She wasn’t scared of expressing her opinions, even though it was in opposition of the policy of her former regent. She’s known to have been one of the original regent of King Aegon III, because Jeyne helped Rhaenyra Targaryen during the Dance of the Dragons, making it clear women could be in power and mostly because in this world of men, women must band together.

Sansa Stark, raised in Winterfell, far from everything that’s bad or dangerous, she learned in the hardest ways the true colors of the world she’s living in. Yet she did not gave up. She started to learn from the best players of the game of thrones, the worst people of Westeros. Her skin has turn to porcelain, to ivory, to steel.

House of Ladies 2020 by @womenasoiaf - Day 4 : Martell

Elia Martell, sister to Prince Doran and Prince Oberyn Martell. She was specially close with the last one. Kind, amiable, solar, she was the heart of Dorne, loved by everyone, despite her poor health. She eventualy married prince Rhaegar Targaryen and gave him two beautiful babies (Rhaenys & Aegon), but no, that man had to “fall in love” with a northwoman (teenager), bringing shame and dishonor to his wife. Elia’s life tragically ended due to the Lannisters, by the hands of Gregor Clegane, trying to protect her kids at all costs. And there has been no justice for Elia.

House of Ladies 2020 (@womenasoiaf​) - Day 2 : Targaryen

Rhaena Targaryen, the shy Targaryen princess who had to fly her dragon Dreamfyre for the first time to reveal her trueself. She was loved by (almost) everyone, sweet, entertaining. She lived through hard times like the death of her husband and her wedding to Maegor, her uncle. But she survived, even tried to kill him and succeed to escape his grasp with her daughter. And even though her relationship with Aerea was more than complicated, she exhausted herself while looking for her. She lived the end of her life in Harrenhal, letting everyone thinks she was a witch, because she did not have time for tears.

House of Ladies 2020 by @womenasoiaf - Day 5 : Tyrell

Olenna Tyrell. Born a Redwyne, it seems like she always known what she wanted, and that wasn’t marying a Targaryen. She was still a teenager when she schemed to had her engagement, and Luthor’s, annuled. After her mariage, her power only grew stronger. Olenna cares deeply for her family, especially for the children of Mace, but without letting her feelings cloud her judgment, perfectly aware of the idiocy of her eldest son for example. But after all, all men are fools.

House of Ladies 2020 by @womenasoiaf - Day 3 : Lannister

Myrielle Lannister, youngest daughter of Stafford Lannister, a cousin of Tywin Lannister, she’s also the sister of Daven and Cerenna Lannister. 

And that’s everything we know about her in the saga, so what an odd choice, right ? But that’s not the Myrielle that I know. Thanks to roleplay she’s so much more for me. She’s a fierce lioness, ambitious but more cautious than Cersei. She’s strong willed and fights for the people she loves and cares about. There’s not much that can frightened her, not even her arranged mariage with Patrek Mallister, the heir of Seagard. A pity that the ironborns attacked the city and took her captive. But strong as always, she made it through, without letting anyone seeing her fears or pain.
