there’s a story that goes back, in time, of the travels that sakura miyawaki tells. sometimes, she neglects them, leaving a huge trail behind the past. if the past returns, she deals with it as a learning lesson in her life to be better. she remembers visiting chicago, illinois a few years back. the nostalgic winter snow and white christmas were the vivid memories that lie in the back of her mind, but a sad tale of a broken friendship. trust abused, backstabbing rose, and two girls who could’ve been the brightest stars in the world, together.
she doesn't expect much from seoul, there's bits of animosity but luminosity is kinder to her. the naive girl passes by the corner lights on the sidewalk on her way home from the prestigious university. a care for animals and devotion for them, there’s days when her marine biology pushes her to go home late. in the night. unlike australia, the streets are usually safe.
white earbuds are tucked in firmly in her ears as she’s listening to her music, backpack hanging on her shoulders and the small smile of the young japanese girl, skipping can be seen. but she should’ve seen what’s coming to her direction- with a quick slap on her knee as she trips in the direction of a former past that she never wanted to pick up. “h-hey.. i’m sorry!” she’s on the ground but bows her head apologetically as if it’s her fault.
