i think the time has come for me to leave rookies, thank you guys for those who were willing to put up with me and how slow i am at replying ehehe. sakura’s loved all her connections so much but as for me, life gets in the way sometimes and i can no longer be as active as i used to be on rookies given the recent event of things. i’m a college student full-time with a part-time job and would rather prioritize what’s around me. if you guys didn’t know, it’s been a good five years for me being in this rp. but it’s time to move on to better things! i’ll be sending those partings texts shortly if you guys wanted one from sakura, let me know! she’ll be moving back to japan to take care of her family and then live with @rkchoutzuyu​ happily in taiwan or japan! she’s had such a wonderful time here. thank you guys for letting me have sakura. thank you for everything.

❀ words unspoken

a tale from the cherry blossom tree, for the wonderful @rkchoutzuyu​ !

it’s been a while is all she can say. not that she wants to but because there are other things that take up too much of her time: university and being a trainee. it seems that she loses more sleep as the weekdays go by. weekends are her favorite days because she doesn’t train as long. it seemed appropriate to catch up on everything she’d been missing out on from tzuyu. her best friend, who she cherished from the very bottom of her heart, someone she used to spend five days out of the week with making plans. i never see you anymore is a sentence that repeats consecutively so she’d bother asking tzuyu for a sleepover.

“i’m glad there’s some downtime for me to do something.” sakura sighs softly, not as energetic as she usually is, tiredness overwhelming the sound of her dainty voice. a yawn escapes from her pink lips as she lightly pats on her cheeks to wake herself up. “sorry tzuyu-chan, i know it’s been such a long time. i’ve really missed you, you know?” she smiles faintly, hands hugging the pillow as she sits down on her bed criss-cross style. “how have you been?”

❀ it’s everland, not disneyland

Tzuyu had to stop herself from leaning into the hand that caressed her cheek. A wide smile appears on her face and she nods. “Of course, I want to!” she says confidently. “Everything will be okay as long as you’re with me.” It’s a bit corny to say but she feels that way. She also says it because she feels as though she doesn’t call Sakura anything near as cute as her best friend’s nickname for her. Sakura calls her a princess and it doesn’t cease to make her blush. She loves the nickname and she wonders if ‘peaches’ is an insult in comparison. 

It came from the heart, the nickname. Tzuyu couldn’t help but compare Sakura to a peach, sweet and cute and pastel, if you will. It didn’t make that much sense if she thought about it too much. If Tzuyu was a princess, should she then call Sakura her queen? The thought made her laugh out loud. “Sorry, I was thinking of something.” She said, explaining herself. Tzuyu pulls them towards the line at the rollercoaster. The decision had been made. She got more and more nervous as she heard the screams and the sound of the wheels on the tracks moving. 

The line wasn’t incredibly long and before she knew it, they were taking their seats. There was no way she’d sit anywhere but next to Sakura. So, she chose her seat and saved the one next to her for her best friend. Her hand instinctively searched for Sakura’s. “I’m excited” she said

sakura’s naturally an affectionate person but there’s a breaking point where she has to halt herself and realise that people have boundaries. she wonders at the back of her head if stopping is the right thing to do but it seems that tzuyu doesn’t seem to be uncomfortable with her gestures at all, “i have a question.. tzuyu-chan.. are you always happy around me?” she takes slight pauses in her sentence, switching over from her upbeat tone to a more serious one. she’s not one all up for seriousness but it helps to hear some reassurance from the other girl. “that’s all that matters to me. just being with you!” she grins, humming gently as she brings tzuyu into a brief hug before pulling away.

“tell me, what were you thinking of? is there anything on your mind?” her curiosity is piqued, she asks the questions without hesitation. truth to be told, tzuyu’s always in her head. there isn’t a day that she doesn’t think about the girl, even when she’s at school but.. she’s merely a best friend, right? sakura doesn’t know when it comes to these kinds of things. she’s naive, learning what she doesn’t like and what she does like.

while some people fear heights, sakura doesn’t but it rather interests her to see what’s down there. as she takes her seat, the ride worker closes the door and as everyone else is sitting in the cabins, it’s bound to start. she takes her hands into tzuyu’s, “yeah.. me too..” her cheeks are pinkier than ever. “let me know if you’re scared, i’ll hold you!”

sakura didn’t have a lot of time these days to come to the university grounds. in fact, she misses being around her classmates and greeting her professors daily but that isn’t the case anymore. this semester, she’s switched over to part-time as she’s been focusing on her duties as a trainee. it’s different than what she’s used to but it’s a matter of time that she’ll absorb everything. while most people don’t like going to school, sakura didn’t mind it one bit. “hey seunghun! how have you been?” she greets her classmate with a bright smile on her face. “is it okay if you take this flyer out of my hands? it’s nice to see you around since i barely do..” she pouts, handing him over the small sheet of paper.

the life of the trainee takes a while to adjust in general since minhyuk is reminded that he also took some time to adjust and honestly, by this point, just kind of trolls around and does what he wants. maybe it’s not really in his best interests but he doesn’t really care all that much since he prefers to spend as little time as he has to in the company. he supposes that for new kids it is beyond exciting and stuff and that it’s a great opportunity, but for him, the company no longer presents an actual challenge. 

he nods and grins at her. her bubbly personality is very very catchy and he kind of really likes it. it’s partially delightful for him. “well, that’s good though in that case, if you have already that good memory!” he grins shaking her hand as well.  “but you are a cute human!” he laughs a bit, and grinning widely at her. he flops on the ground, winking playfully at her. “so, what are your skills like?” he asked, looking at her. 

there are strict rules when it comes to being a trainee, restrictions that don’t entirely make sense to her but her questions shouldn’t lead to doubt because it’ll hinder her self-confidence more when it comes to her musical talents. sakura is free-flowy but hasn’t learned to accept her capabilities. it makes her think, even though she’s won the mgas, that wasn’t just it? it’s only been a couple of months but she’s already learned so much.

she’s easily adaptable, able to adjust her personality accordingly to those around hers with her random bursts of excitement. sakura being the happy bee she is, “me a cute human?” she giggles softly, tilting her head slightly as she points at herself with her index finger. “thank you very much!” she genuinely appreciates the compliment as shown by the smile written on her face. “you are too! i am a rapper, i love rapping even though it may not look like it.” it’s more than just appearance after all.

sakura considers johnny a good friend but she also has to consider that he’s been training longer than she has. it’s different, addressing those who are not much older than she is. “hey you there!” her eyes are locked on the male as she waves her hand saying a hello excitedly. “is it okay if you can take this flyer?” she usually talks to him in english, finding that using this language is much easier than hangul. “they’ve been asking me to give this all around. seems like i can’t get it out of my hands..” she sighs softly then curves her lips into a small smile, chuckling lightly.

a blessing is to have her friends within the same building as her. sometimes, it gets too lonely to train and practise all by herself. sakura’s the kind of person to rely on being around others to guide her happiness ( which may not even be a bad thing ). seeing dongmin at the cafeteria or passing by brings her joy, “it’s nice to see you around, tomodachi.” the word friend in japanese she says with her naturally soft voice. “may you take this flyer?” she passes on the triangular-shaped pieces of paper to the other. “we should even hangout during the cafeteria! but i heard trc can be rough sometimes eh?”

it’s not shocking to see the brunette walk around seoul passing out pieces of paper that promote her company’s status figures and image. sakura didn’t think it would be too much of an issue. she didn’t have a difficult time engaging in conversations with other people because of her social butterfly skills. this meant idols too and she’d witness them enter the seocho building ( but only once in a blue moon ). jinwook, a member of convex is right in front of her sight! “hello there sunbaenim!” she bows her head politely because that’s the best gesture to show her respect. “is it okay if i pass you this flyer.. with my signature on it?” she sounded silly but she could only giggle at her corny statement.

❀ a new wardrobe

a tale from the cherry blossom tree, for the wonderful @rkyeri !

shopping is one of her favourite leisure time activities but it’s a lot better when she isn’t doing it all by herself. asking yeri to tag along was the best idea she’s ever had today, “i’m glad you’re here with me today, sunbaenim!” the usual big bright smile’s carved on her delicate features, eyes forming crinkles on the sides. sakura rakes her hands through several of options between different articles of clothing but she can’t seem to find one that she wants in particular. “i think you have a better style than me, i swear!”

autumn isn’t that cold in seoul as compared to other parts of japan she’s visited in the past. she dresses in layers of clothing as her aesthetic with pastel colours like pink, blue, green, etc. because sweather season is her absolute cup of tea. “i think this pink one will look really cute with some blue denim overalls..” she muses, trying to piece the outfit together in her mind and see what kind of shoes will have to go with the attire.

“also please be careful at this time because since it’s colder, make sure to warm up and drink tea!” she’s that nagging mum at times but she speaks with utmost concern from the bottom of her heart. “i get sick a lot during this time too~ maybe we should buy some scarves too, yeri-chan?”

Her naturally soft striking features held a cold expression. For the life of her, Naeun truly never understood why people bullied others, especially when it was obviously unprovoked. As far as she could tell, Sakura had done nothing to these girls and yet the way they treated her friend was absolutely disgusting. 

Leaning towards her friend, Naeun wanted Sakura to stand proud beside her. But she also knew just how uncomfortable this whole situation can for those who were actually getting bullied. She was so torn of being angry with those trainees, that she could practically feel herself shaking and in the verge of tears herself. But she had to be strong for Sakura right now.

She continues to glare at the girls, waiting for them to make any move against Sakura and herself. It didn’t take long for them to go, but she made sure they thought that Sakura and her were staying there just to prove a point. “Okay…” once the girls were out of their view, “we can go now.

I’m so sorry I didn’t get there earlier. The audacity of them.” Offering her friend a comforting hug, while trying to balance a try with her hands, “Are you okay?”

even with a big heart, there are circumstances that she wishes she could control but sakura can come to the terms that changing people is the impossible. they are responsible for what they do in their lives but from the bottom of her heart, she wanted what was best for everyone.

she is glad to have a friend that is willing to protect her from being prey among the wilderness in the building. sakura has no intentions of getting into trouble or drama at all but simply making friends. her eyes look over at naeun and confides in the solace that her friend is giving her, warmth and care. “thank you so much for being here for me, i appreciate it..” her voice takes a pause as she takes a deep breath, doing her best to get herself together from the devastating experience that she had just witnessed.

“i just wonder why people are like that..” she furrows her brows worriedly, the look of hurt evident on her features. “is it okay if i eat together with you, naeun-chan? if it’s not too much to ask..” she does not want to bother the girl but also wants to spend time with her friend. 

those bullies are faces that she has to avoid at all times in order to preserve her safety now. she will not forget, ever.

Minhyuk had heard of another rapper joining the company after the fiftth season of the mgas, and minhyuk had immediately felt disgust in his stomach. Usually when the mga kids got recruited, they were first in line for anything cool  and as such, minhyuk had been very vary of any rappers because if they were guys, his chance at debut was gone. Minhyuk therefore had avoided the new rapper for a while, until recently. He caught a glimpse of her in a practice room, seemingly practicing something and he stepped inside. 

“sorry for intruding, my dear, but i heard you practicing. let me give you a tip: if you train your memory first, your rap skills will follow.” he said,  grinning widely. he looked closer at the girl and laughed. “Ah, i had no idea why i spent so long avoiding you. You’re just a cute human,” he said, laughing a bit. The rapper extended a hand. “I’m Minhyuk, kt’s lte rapper.” he said, grinning widely at the girl. 

the life of as a trainee is still an overwhelming case for the young australian gal in spite of it becoming more than a month for the duration in the kt building. not that she had a hard time making friends but a lot of training concepts are entirely new to her. she had not sang, dance, or even attended this many workshops until she came here. it is an exciting experience however, being able to have such an opportunity that people dream of. in truth, sakua has always been more than grateful for the things that she has.

“no worries!” she says in her usual bubbly tone of voice as she approaches the other. “you think so?” her head tilts to the other side as the digresses the new inrofmation. “i do have good memory now that i think about it!” she gave two thumbs up and nodded. “me? a cute human? no way!” she shakes her head, shaking both of her hands to say no but thanks him anyway, “thank you so much, sunbaenim!” she takes his hand into his, giving a proper handshake. “i am miyawaki sakura, a pleasure to meet you!”

The cue got shorter and shorter, until both girls had made it through the gates and were allowed to enter the fun of everland. Tzuyu takes Sakura’s hand and leads her towards the ride she wanted to go on, using the map as reference. She looks at the paper band that was put around her wrist as an access ticket and smiles. This would be the best day ever with her best friend. She’d already thanked her plenty of times but the happiness of being out and about with her didn’t wear off just yet.

“Are you sure you want to get on?” she pulls the other along with her to the front of the line at the rollercoaster, she definitely wanted to do it thought it would be great if Sakura was with her. Spending the day with Sakura wasn’t out of the norm, whether it was volunteering at the aquarium or having sleep overs, but it still felt like the air was lighter that day. Tzuyu was a year older but she didn’t feel any different.  When she looked at Sakura, though, something did feel different. She wasn’t sure what it was or why all of a sudden today felt more special than usual, but she couldn’t deny that it did.

Something like the adrenaline of the rollercoaster she was about to get on.

the muscles on her face hurts from pressing on with the redundant smiles, sakura can't seem to wear it off as she’s with someone that means everything to her. her best friend, a lifeblood to who she is. she grips the other girl’s hand tightly, squeezing it as they’re way past the opening. taking pictures for memories is important as she doesn’t want to forget a single moment. “we should take pictures of our bracelets and all of our adventures! is that okay with you, tzuyu-chan?” her eyes look over at tzuyu before pulling her phone out of her pocket to take a quick picture of their wrists against each other’s, showing off the tickets.

eyebrows raise in concern but sakura isn't one to be afraid of tall heights beyond her petite size, she loves the adrenaline that flows through her veins as she's on it and the thrill of it all. needless to say, roller coasters are stimulating. “yes! are you okay with getting on it? i want to make sure if that’s okay with you first.” she’d like to check up on her friends first before making any final decisions. “there’s no peer pressure at all. i wouldn’t want you to feel that way, tzuyu-chan.” she exchanges a glance, caressing tzuyu’s cheek with her hand. is this too much? she can’t help but contemplate but she conveys her reassurance by touches of affections.

“it’s your birthday. it’s all about you, princess.”
