but consider... yeongshin and seobi never really addressing what they mean to each other over the seven years they spend traveling joseon with chang, yeongshin believing he’s only fit to be a hunter and a soldier bc that’s all he’s ever known and protecting chang to protect his people is more important than any matters of the heart, seobi believing the same, believing she’s a doctor and a researcher and has a duty to her kingdom to figure out the secrets of the resurrection plant bc saving lives is more important than love, and yet yeongshin spends seven years learning various nursing skills and the medicinal properties of a million roots and herbs bc watching seobi work is peaceful, seobi knowing yeongshin is trying to learn and slowing down when she can so he can absorb the knowledge bc she wants him to live no matter what, yeongshin and seobi bickering and rolling their eyes at each other bc that’s how they started and that’s where they’ll end, seobi and yeongshin fighting and saving lives together, yeongshin and seobi spending seven years gazing longingly at each other while the other’s back is turned, seobi and yeongshin thinking forlornly about how love isn’t possible when there’s famine and civil unrest and fucking worms to worry about, seobi and yeongshin gravitating towards each other even when they’re going in different directions, yeongshin and seobi making their final stand TOGETHER, staring death straight in the eyes and somehow managing to survive, sitting together underneath a moonlit sky in the aftermath, wearing dirty and bloodied clothes, talking about nothing yet expressing everything they’ve ever felt for each other, taking almost a whole fucking DECADE to confess their love to each other bc they realize that love IS worth it, and THAT’S what im rooting for in season three of kingdom, give me the slow burn romance i know this show is capable of, give me the hunter and the doctor, netflix im begging you, i love them so much oh my god
