"May I have this dance?" Even held out a hand for him.

Lauriam looked up at him, expression wounded. "Where have you been?"

Even sighed and brushed his hand over Lauriam's. The man loved to dance. "Apparently my title makes me very desirable." He started. "I had hoped you would come find me. I thought to message you but the gummiphones do not follow world order."

"You've been hiding?" Lauriam's brows forwarded. Women were after him for munny. How curious. But it made sense. Even was very close to a throne.

"I have no experience with this..." Even nodded. "My heart has always been very set. Being... Courted by women is very odd."

"Okay," Lauriam nodded and finally accepted his hand. "My Dandelions joked about me being their prince. If you're really that troubled I'll make a show."

"You know I am yours." Even did not hesitate. "But I am unsure how accepting this land is."

"We are from unknown foreign lands." Lauriam smirked at him. "You are here on diplomacy and I am here on trade. I'll trade Myde for you."

"You'll trade us?" Even rose a brow and accepted Lauriam's other hand. Their connection was solid. He stepped back but Lauriam lead them to the floor.

"I'll have to talk to Prince Ienzo as well," Lauriam responded "Making a lord into a concubine is a bit drastic."

Even's knees felt weak. "I know you're joking but I-"

"I'm serious." Lauriam stared at him hard. "At least while we're here."

"I'm far from opposed." Even whispered.

"I noticed." Lauriam smirked. "Honestly, Even, you're too easy."

Even sighed and thunked his forehead against Lauriam's head. "I've been thinking of you all night."

"I'm supposed to be on duty." Lauriam whispered. "I need to-"

"Everyone is safe, Lauriam. For a few minutes think about yourself. About us." Even swayed him gently. No one else on the dance floor mattered.

"I want to believe you," Lauriam shook his head a little. "But I can't be distracted. I can't."

Even sighed and let go of his hands. He understood his fear.

Lauriam stared at him for some moments before he turned away and walked back to the wall.

But Even wasn't above playing dirty. "Prince Lauriam! Do not avoid my offer!"

Lauriam froze. Bastard. He could feel eyes on them. Even was making a scene. He whirled on him. He wanted to be mad but he saw the desperation in his beloved. "I would take you as mine in a heartbeat," he started "But we both know that is not our destiny. Please, Lord Even, think of your kingdom. Our duty must come before our heart."

Even stared at him. He knew Lauriam truly believed that. It was why he had put his position and enjoyment on the sidelines. But. "My duty is to my heart," he fiddled with his hands. "Our Kingdoms are side by side. I would still be there for Prince Ienzo."

Lauriam had started with very little fight in him. "When did you become such a sap? You know I can only take you as a concubine."

"I know. My status means nothing if I can have you."

"Then you win."
