Angst idea: Niki teaching a young Fundy that ‘burning things is therapeutic’ and that leads to older Fundy just,

Staring into the fire and burning images of all the people who hurt him-

Watching the pictures Tubbo took of him V Sapnap during the pet war go up in flames.

The picture of the aftermath of Manberg V Pogtopia war disappearing into smoke.

Painful memories of the family he could never have burning away its existence.

But he couldn’t seem to understand why....

Why could he not burn Wilbur’s picture?

Perhaps it was because he refuses to let go of the past Wilbur? Perhaps it was because he never got proper closure?

There were also some other pictures that he couldn’t bear burning. Coconut2020, the ice cream shop opening, Niki and Fundy and Fungi, the Lmanburg 6, the prank war pictures. He held them close to his heart, clutched tightly for fear of the violent wind stripping the memories away, just like fate stripped everyone away.

And so he walked away, away from the pride castle, away from the giant hole, away from the arctic lands, away from grief and sadness, misery and pain,

Away. But

Where to?

A thought that Fundy pulls Ranboo to the side before the festival speeches and hands him a totem of undying without anyone seeing.

Fundy would have a suspicion on what’s going to happen, and he’d rather save Ranboo than himself because he has only one totem. Ranboo knows it’s gonna end badly, and Fundy knows that either one of them or both of them will die because of Q and Tubbo. He’d rather his found brother alive than him.

Also, no I can’t explain where the totems come from, it’s just my mind y’all, like I need my happy serotonin.

Brotherly angst, runaway together, I’ll die so you can live, I won’t let you die vibes.

Alright, so these two moments are really interesting from Fundy and Ranboo.

From Fundy, when he was arguing with Ranboo, he said something like “You time travel-“ then he cut himself off before continuing his question. It might just be a slip, but then I watched Ranboo’s VOD.

At the end, he said something like. “This was supposed to be my opportunity for redemption, redemption from last time. But it’s just happening again.... the same things are just happening again, and I couldn’t stop them.”

Usually, I would dismiss what Fundy said as just a figure of speech but after hearing Ranboo said that, I started to think, huh, what if time travel really is a thing with Ranboo, which might be the issue with his memories because he has too much information and it must somehow be balanced. And with the closeness of Fundy and Ranboo, it actually makes sense that Fundy might know about it. And the fact that Fundy quickly cut himself off and made the statement something like just a passing word he used, might also indicate that it’s something they were supposed to keep secret.

And if Ranboo lost most memories of the ‘last time’, but a part of him remembers, then what exactly is going on here right now? That’s assuming that connecting the two statements, one clearly lore-related, is the correct action to take. What exactly is going on and what will happen that made Ranboo try to do everything to change things and that Fundy is also aware of it?

I might just be overthinking things, but with these two statements, it’s hard not to connect them together. Am I the only one who thinks about this?

FUNDY AS HOGWARTS STUDENTS!!!! Headcanons :D

- Ravenclaw!! (Even though his hogwarts test put him in Hufflepuff, I see Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff and Slytherin in him)

- Very much defying every single social norm in the castle.

- Basically, he just sits wherever he wants, doesn’t matter if they are in the same house or not.

- He’s just gonna try and break the boundaries just because. Oh, Granger said that no one can apparate in and out? He’ll find a way, either that or he’ll create a way.

- Wants to learn how to create spells, (Snape and his Sectumsempra) but they’re no lessons on that so he will do anything to learn how.

- Includes, sneaking into the restricted section and we know he will never get caught. Scamming some people in Diagon or Knockturn Alley or Hogsmeade for any old books. I would like to add that pestering a teacher is something I wouldn’t be surprised of him doing.

- Ranboo, Niki and Eret who are all in Hufflepuff will have to deal with a certain Fundy trying to get into their common room just to scare them.

- Fundy and Ranboo start some sort of ice cream business in Hogwarts

- When Fundy gets an idea, he doesn’t care what people say, he’ll find a way to make it work and the rest of Misferns would just sit back and enjoy the chaos.

- Ranboo is joining Fundy for 90% of it

- Fundy can get out of trouble just fine, but not Ranboo, who has his signature memory issues, so he just stays in detention if Ranboo is there, and they just find some way to cause chaos and just be Funboo

- Fundy loves playing with knives and switchblades, not to harm of course, but the other students and teachers don’t know that

- His blades keep getting confiscated, but the teachers will never know how he keeps getting so many

- Fundy would be a genius in Ancient Runes, Care of Magical Creatures. He would be extremely good in Potions too, but he likes taking things a step further.

- The potions teacher would do anything to stop Fundy from making his potions stronger or worse, depends on what he wants to try, but soon will give up and always puts him as far away from the other students as possible

- If Fundy has a scheme, he usually tells the other misferns unless it’s too risky, then he only tells Ranboo. Niki and Eret, who are older than Fundy and Ranboo, who are in the same year.

- Niki and Eret are thought to be the ones to keep the other two out of trouble, but the truth is, they usually keep quiet and cover for them

- Ranboo and Fundy are creating ice cream shops everywhere, they’re going to put Florean Fortesque’s Ice cream shop out of business

- Partly because they are appealing to the students, partly because...... uh, scammed. Yeah I’m not elaborating

I’m gonna continue this later, and write the rest of misferns and include some others. :D

I haven’t included how he interacts with his friends during classes, definitely gonna add 5up and Tubbo etc.

Also, imagine if they go to Hogwarts the same year as Harry, Hermione and Ron? Like, the three of them could be older by one or two years, and they would just be so confused and probably suspicious of Funboo. And Snape would be soooo annoyed, Dumbledore might have fun just watching the chaos unfold.

And they meet the twins..... oh the chaos, oh the trouble making!!!

This is basically, Fundy and Ranboo are chaotic in Hogwarts and Fundy will just do anything to break the world and exploit everything he can find.

Me: Sees Des' 'less hatred towards Syndicate after Phil' post: Me: Now how to make this angsty?

- Phil remembered a bit of what Fundy was saying about his dreams, and got more info afterwards. Then he and the rest talk about it and start keeping a closer eye on Fundy, until they get an opportunity and just, take him away and Fundy wakes up in the Arctic Commune. He was inducted unwillingly into the Syndicate as they use him as their personal oracle, to see the future. They call him Phantasos. (Phantasos: meaning Fantasy, appear in dreams in the form of inanimate objects, putting on "deceptive shapes of earth, rocks, water, trees, all lifeless things") Only Techno seemed to have sympathy, but Fundy could never notice it. Niki was still holding a grudge against him for the flag, Ranboo, best not talk about him. Phil, he believed Phil betrayed him. They claim they were protecting him from Wilbur, and in repayment he just had to sleep normally and tell him his dreams, and we know how much he hates sleeping and probably is scared of seeing what dreams he'll get. But truly, who does he actually need protection from? From Wilbur? Or from the Syndicate?

- (ASDJSADJKSA to make this happy, I can insert Land of Windmills and Floating Casino where Phil had ordered custom made wings to be made from Cogchamp. And where Fundy can just find a way to sneak away and send a message to 5up to retract the order so when they accompany Phil to retrieve his wings in the next two weeks or so, they would find out that the order has been retracted and Fundy gets saved by 5up in, hmmmm, Glitch or (any Imposter roles) mode. )

Fundy piano signifying his emotions :eyes:

(So this was written before the tnt goes kaboom stream, and I wanna post it before the TFTS stream tomorrow because Fundy playing piano for the masquerade is dancing around my mind)

Fundy playing Moonlight Sonata to signify him being sad over 5up killing him in Among Us has gotten my music kid brain up and working again.

Moonlight Sonata to signify him sad, then that improv sad song when apologising to 5up which slowly got happier.

Imagine this,

C!Fundy just being sad on the SMP after that one year time skip and remembering Ranboo left him like everyone else and he has to leave 5upp which I hc he meets during that one year gap. And he makes a secret cave base like his first one.

It’s like the same as his first cave base but bigger and better and this time, has a piano. And it’s on the outskirts of Greater SMP, Badlands and Lmanhole.

Ranboo, Techno and Phil walking around that land doing stuff or looking for stuff when they get near where Fundy’s base is. No one knows where his new residence is just yet except Eret because he still trusts Eret.They get near his base, and they start hearing very quiet piano sounds. Quiet, as in, from a long distance. And they have no idea where it’s coming from. It sounded really sad, really nostalgic and melancholic

They follow the sound to maybe something like a hill or something and tried looking for his secret entrance. By luck, Eret arrives there and decides, fuck it, let them see how sad Fundy is for being left behind constantly even after all his attempts to reconcile or his attempts to stay with Ranboo after the war, and shows them the secret entrance, which was similar to the Manburg bunker secret entrance except it opened a small door in the hill.

They follow the path down, led by Eret, and there was a huge spacious area and it was right underneath the place they were walking on just now.

Let’s say it was styled to the feel of Fundy’s first base before it was flooded and uninhabitable just for the feels. Fundy wants everything to go back to how it was before, he and Eret had already mended their friendship long ago and remaking a new base just like his first one is also one of his ways of trying to lie to himself that everything was just like before, before L’manburg, before Schlatt. Which was why he holed himself in his new base, with only Eret as a visitor because who else could he trust?

I have this idea stuck in my head that Fundy, when everything gets too much and he doesn’t wanna be with other people, he would express himself and vent by playing piano songs which reflects his feelings.

And Ranboo knows that, because he and Fundy used to be really really good friends, so when Ranboo saw that it was Fundy who was playing the piano, and that Fundy either didn’t see them or just didn’t want to acknowledge them, you can imagine what happens.

He wanted to apologize for a year, and the last time during the resurrection when he saw him again, he went out of his way and asked Phil because he wants to stay away from him. And he never saw him ever again, until he came back.

Wouldn’t it be more painful if that was the first time they saw Fundy after the resurrection?

And wouldn’t it be more painful if Fundy’s snapping and insanity caused him to consciously try and forget the people who hurt him, who threw him aside? And yes, I know about Fundy and Ranboo’s can’t forget each other or can’t live without the other line, but what if it isn’t completely forgetting? Fundy chose not only to consciously alter his own memories and thus lie to himself, but he also chose to forget the bad events like Doomsday, the interrogation?

And wouldn’t it be more painful, if say, when the three of them finally talks to him, maybe a confused greeting or something and Phil and Techno confused on why Ranboo seems so sad, he talks to Techno like he did before the second war, because he remembers Techno setting off withers and Wilbur blowing his home up and he consciously forgets it, he talks to Phil like he did before the Butcher Army, and he talks to Ranboo like he did before the Festival, consciously forgetting the argument.

I just want to write something like that and cause a bunch of sad and angsty pain to myself because my music kid brain refuses to leave these ideas alone.

Hear me out. Fundy was gone for a year between Doomsday and the Eggpire takeover. So where was he during that one year, presumably mentally healing and taking a break which was why he current him and Doomsday him acted so differently.

And maybe that’s the reason he didn’t appear during the final fight with Dream? Because he thought disappearing, no one would notice him gone because “Nothing I do has ever mattered!!”

But I think, and I read this in another post, Tubbo mentioned him being gone, didn’t he? So doesn’t that mean Tubbo was the only who realised?

Alright, that’s the Doomsday and final war thing. Now I wanna talk about Fundy’s one year time gap and something from Charles of the Tales of the SMP.

Remember the resemblance of Charles from the Tales of the SMP to Fundy? Well, I’m pretty sure Charles is Fundy’s descendant. He, and Ranbob (Ranboo’s descendant) we’re both wearing goggles on his head, and those goggles were different from Benjamin’s.

And this might be a bit of a stretch, but those goggles seem pretty familiar to the ones on Fundy’s Cogchamp skin, but with Fundy, the goggles were on top of his head instead. If what I assume is correct, then that one year skip was spent healing and having fun in Cogchamp maybe.

Tbh, this is just me trying to fit Cogchamp into canon so 5up and crumb can be in canon storywise.

Or basically me trying to grasp at straws to be happy again after watching the sad lore streams from Fundy and the Tales of the SMP stream.
