Did you ever resent Georges for leaving you to raise the baby by yourself? Even for a moment?
I... Sometimes. But wouldn't anyone? It wasn't an easy birth, and it would have helped to have him there, but I understand why he couldn't be. He has a duty to his country. He made a commitment, and truly, I admire him for his courage. But yes, there were moments I was angry with him for leaving.

Georges is my first and only love. He is timid and sweet, but so very loving. He can be fierce when he wants to be, but never has he raised hand or voice to me. He treats me as a rare flower, with all the care and attention it requires -- yet he doesn't seem to realize that he is the true flower. Georges brought warmth and love into my life, and I am blessed to have met him.

Aloe - What is something that would instantly make you cry at the sight/mention of it?
Whenever my husband returns from battle. The moment I see him walk through the door, I cannot help but weep with relief that he's home and safe.
Currant - Describe the person you don't ever want to see sad.
There are two: my husband Georges and my son Marius.
Hollyhock - What is your dream?
My dream is that my father will someday learn to accept Georges as his son-in-law, and begin to love him as such, despite their differences. I want him to embrace Marius, so that my son can grow up to have a good relationship with his grandfather. I want my family, all of it, to be happy.
I should think my meaning is clear, Madame. Is he as timid as a lamb or virile as a lion during your intimate activities? Don't play coy; you have a son so something must be happening.
I know what you meant, anonyme! But that is none of your business, whether we have a son or not.
