do you think about how in an au helena wayne would've been the annoying princessy daughter to batcat. how in a different reality, she would've randomly hugged bruce and laid her head on his shoulder and went "pay attention to me!" while he was reading casefiles. how selina could be just reading her magazine on the couch randomly and waynetress would've just flopped down and laid her head on selina's lap and been like "hiiii mom what are you reading :)" and how both bruce and selina would've humoured her. how no matter whether helena was 12 or 24 she'd always see bruce and selina as people first, her people, her parents, the people she loves and trusts and would've done anything for, how she would've made sure bruce and selina always felt appreciated for who they are and not just what they are. how bruce and selina would both be still so new to being "normal" people or humans or just parents at all and being wanted for just as they are and not as batman and catwoman, as their mythologies and their masks, and yet, they both would make sure helena would grow up with a stable childhood that they never got themselves, that helena would never feel confused if her parents love her or not. and how that reality will never be possible because one of them will always be dead or nonexistent and earth 2 is only an ideal, imagined reality that still can't prevent the fate of being destroyed or conquered by either darkseid or dc continuities. again and again. yeah... 💔💜
