helena wayne becoming huntress and her conceptual creation originally in the pre crisis earth 2 means so much to me. she is one of the bigger parts of "what if bruce wayne and selina kyle, respectively and altogether, were allowed to feel safe?" and she also became her own character. time and again, helena wayne and her huntress show HOPE. stability. love. she became a hero not because there was a gap to fulfill, a tragedy to rewrite, whatever. but because selina and bruce raised her well, gave her the security and love that enabled her to be her true, confident self and forge her own path. helena wayne became a vigilante because she loves gotham, she doesn't see it as broken. helena wayne loves people because she loves her parents and her parents love her. bruce and selina, in a way and in earth 2, broke their cycles and ended it when they decided they want to try for helena and be there for her. where bruce wanted helena to not feel the pain of not having enough proof her parents loved her so he will be present for her physically and emotionally, and where selina wanted to empower helena so that helena would not grow scared; how they trained her but did not limit her path. where helena can survive and be street smarts and book smarts, but because she has confidence she can make it. and she has that confidence because she trusts selina and bruce so much, their blessings and lessons and love live with helena wayne no matter their deaths, her death, crisis events, the death of the world, continuity changes. she IS their girl. she is proof selina and bruce aren't doomed and trapped forever. AND helena wayne is her own person who can grow beyond anybody's wildest dreams, she is so incredible. i love helena maria wayne.
