Awesome Cartoon Girls All Grown Up → [109/∞] Willow Song | Herself the Elf
She can listen to what no one else hears. She's in charge of all of nature's sounds, from the chirping of birds to the barking of hounds. She's often thought of as a daydreaming dear. But she's not as clumsy as she may appear. Her frog-tipped wand keeps villains away, making the woods safe, by night and day.
Willow Song struggles against the scream of modernity, the bleating of horns and screech of tires, the incessant death-knell of chainsaws against treetrunks and desperate gurgle of dammed rivers. Her keen ears fade. But she still works her magic from memory, some sounds irreplaceable and unmistakeable even though all she hears now is silence.
The fleet rustle of deer-hooves on forest floor.
Ribbits from the tiniest treepeepers and bellows from the fattest bullfrogs.
The steady, constant beating of every heart.
