Experiences with the Hellenic Gods: HESTIA

Friendly Reminder: They are gods, but they are very human also, so they make mistakes. They look and act like us because in that way, we can relate to them.   All of this are my own experiences, so if you had something different, you are welcome to comment, still doesn’t invalidate my opinion, neither yours. Caring is sharing so if you find this useful, share this to someone that might need some enlightment in the subject. 

This is going to be a quite short one, but still as much important as any other experience here. Hestia is a woman of short words, but an really important one. I actually met her because I was looking for her. I felt very bad and disorganized in myself and needed to meditate, so instantly I felt that I could try and talk to Hestia. I did my meditation and visited her in her realm, a temple with a huge fire in the middle. She was there, at the other corner, sitting, meditating, as she knew why I was there. I meditated with her and she made me realize my inner fire was dying, so she helped me revive it witha bit of warmth and a lot of concentration. It felt like if my heart was receiving a big hug from her. Afterwards I gave her proper thanks, which she just opened her eyes and smiled at me with a nod. She didn’t told me I could come bace, not because she forbidden me, but because the hearth of home welcomes anyone that need contact with the love of the family.

Hestia can be quite a calm and gentle woman, but that doesn’t mean she is to be ignored. In acient times, she was revered first in any party or celebration at the table to bless their food and everyone, even she had more importance than Zeus! Her chastity is a symbol of her strong will, ignoring powerful or handsome man like Poseidon and Apollo. She demonstrates us that you don’t have to be fierce in order to be strong willed, to marry some popular guy or do an extraordinary activity in order to have a huge recognition. She is also a patron of the kitchen, meaning that she is the warm and love that makes those delicious foods you share with your beloved ones and yourself. Hestia is where a hug that makes your heart warm is given, when you do charity, when you make someone in your house a part of your family at dinner, and even when you come tired to your house/apartment and say “finally home sweet home”. She helps in your meditations by making you focus in your inner fire. She is fire, meaning that she is a strong passionate force, but decided to express it as warmth because she loves everyone and consider them family, so she wont hurt or overwhelm you. Hestia is motherly in spite of not having any childre, because she understands that everyone needs to feel loved and as in home. She is the one who makes a house, a home. I would actually like to get some comments of any Hestia eshrine, or devotee, since I want to learn more about the concept she teaches them.

Tish was pleasantly surprised. Don Juan could actually be helpful. The whole affair went a lot smoother than expected. Just Kelvins low blow smothered her high spirits. The frosty coiling anger in her stomach would not leave her unil much later after Lyla told more than one bad joke to cheer her up.

“I’m getting some clothes for you.” said Lyla as she went in the back of the shop. She silently shaked her head. Tish really got some nerves, lying to that guy. Don Juan was the last and only possibility to get that chip. It worried Lyla that Tish seemed to treat him so uncareful. They didn’t know what would await them if they can’t finish the job.

While she went through the clothes in the little back-up closet she heard them bickering in the front. Hopefully, Don Juan regained his good spirit because he would need it for tonight.

Tish found someone who knows how to get maps and layouts for every building on the planet regardless how secret or hidden they seemed. She told Lyla earlier tonight, she hoped Don Juan can help with finding the right place.
