‘ live your life so that when you die, souls will come for miles just to hear your historic tales. ’
‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ — doe-like eyes grew wide with a childish curiosity as she wiped a tendril of silver-gold away from her lips ( her freshly painted lips were pretty she thought, though somewhat sticky ). tales? what soul would be interested in hearing the story of a foolish girl who dreamed of becoming fully human? then again, her own innocent heart ached as she listened to the plight of a mermaid who desired legs and a prince ( the ultimate tragedy, sometimes she wished it ended differently ). but the strength of her compassion, the maiden’s refusal to spill the blood of her beloved is what gave her a soul and a place above in the heavens. such sacrifice made the nearly expressionless woman show her feelings for the first time ( she could remember her big sister entering the library and becoming alarmed at her teary face; in her nineteen years of life, it was the first time, in a long while that she had cried )… it was now one of her favorite stories and yet…
“ i’m not sure i can, stella… how can i live when i’m already….this. i don’t want…” she swallowed hard, tears burning at the back of her throat ( she hated human emotions as much as she embraced them ) ah, the hot tears were blurring her vision of such golden beauty, the kind visage she loved and admired; don’t blind her, don’t obscure her sister’s face — lunafreya wanted to see her. to be strong enough to tell her to live her own life to the fullest…
she cursed herself as her delicate form broke down into sobs ( was that all she could ever do? )
