i always say it's such a shame that himym destroyed its own cultural relevance with the finale, but it's actually a good thing. because if it had remained in the consciousness there would have been, in the recent past, a major widespread reckoning with the character of barney stinson. and the world does not need that. i do not want to see the takes i do not want to read the thinkpieces i do notttt want to see neil patrick harris going on some podcast to discuss it. simply does not need to happen.
i started rewatching himym. i missed them. it's still not that easy to not let it be tainted by. you know

i do unironically think himym is a Good Show which is why it boggles the mind how much they shot themselves in the dick
just once i would like to see a fictional woman, who is a fairly "normal" woman, who does not want to have kids, AND ☝️ crucially. is not shown to have some kind of dormant longing for children, ever
