I just finished a fantastic book, so naturally I looked up the book to see what other people are saying. All I have to say is:

You not understanding a character’s motivations is not a plot hole.

Not knowing what happens to someone after the story ends is also not a plot hole

#on point one I would say that authors do need to make the readers understand motivation #but a blanket saying of I didn’t get this plot whole #*hole #yeah…#you personally not understanding #doesn’t mean it’s a plot whole #not knowing their whole thought process #them not doing a villian monologue…#yeah

Anyways I have a new theory that would actually make Springy twist compliant but there’s like no actually evidence for it besides that they’re glitchy and it kinda fits with their themes.

Basically what if Springy was Mephone’s first creation, a living copy of a mascot he loved. Mephone didn’t take them with him when leaving and forgot about Springy when he wiped his memory (but does remember who he is by III ofc).

Cobs took Springy and is using them to try to manipulate Mephone. This is how Springy can have both a clear corporate agenda AND have been made by Mephone, this is also why they glitch. Mephone couldn’t make them stable at the time.

Now, this isn’t what I think is the intent of Springy’s writing, idk what that is. This is more of a canon compliant fanfic type theory rather than an interpretation of the text, since like I said, I have barely any evidence besides it fitting.
