Okay what if after Charlie was born, Lucifer became a stay at home dad for a good while, maybe until Charlie was around preschool/kindergarten age, because he did NOT trust daycares in hell, and Lilith preferred to do most of the ruling anyway. But maybe around when baby Charlie started school, ruling Hell got real busy again and doing it solo wasn’t healthy for Lilith, so Lucifer chose to go back to work. He still didn’t want to send Charlie to some daycare, and Lilith refused to bring their innocent baby into a political space like the royal court so young, so they had to find a nanny. It took a long time. Lucifer had a problem with almost everyone Lilith suggested because they ‘weren’t good enough’ for his little princess. Lilith found Lucifer’s picks to either be flat out irresponsible or to easy going to raise the next Queen of Hell.
Finally somebody they know (maybe the Von Helsings or one of The Sins) recommends a sinner who was allegedly a rather beloved nanny and teacher in life, in Hell for some stupid and non-dangerous reason. She’s perfect, Charlie loves her, she has experience, her past charges went on to do great things. Even Lucifer can’t find a reason to say no beyond the principle of ‘ITS A GROSS SINNER LILIY NO-’
So they hire her. Reader does great, the only complaint Lilith hears is Lucifer’s early whines that Charlie may start to like the dumb sinner best instead of him. But even this stops once the couple get to know Reader a bit. It doesn’t take long for both monarchs to get a bit of a crush.
It only gets worse after reader is promoted to live in nanny and they run into her in her nightgown with her hair undone for once…
It of course takes way too long for ever professional and perfectionist reader to realize she’s becoming less a nanny and more a potential third spouse and parent to the Morningstar family. Even baby Charlie begins insisting on calling her mama, secretly encouraged by her pining parents.

Meanwhile, Lu and Lilith are watching you fondly from the cracked door of Charlie's room while you so sweetly brush and tie her hair up. Getting overwhelming cuteness aggression from the scene before them. How natural you look taking care of their little Charlie like this 😭😭 how much she seems to adore you.
Aaaaa and when you start living in the palace proper you're a bit embarrassed for not looking more presentable in front of the couple at all times. The first time they see you looking so casual is when they catch you in the kitchen one night making yourself some tea when you couldn't sleep.
You apologized profusely for your state of undress, blushing wildly in a way that only endeared them to you more.
But they are absolutely fawning over how pretty you look all dressed down and comfy in your loose nightgown. Maybe even a big t-shirt and baggy pajama pants. And they insist this home is just as much yours as it is theirs.
