Poro-chan as he appears in my Devidol AU!

(That I have only mentioned once before in an almost throwaway manner on this blog but have discussed more than any of my other ideas on the discord, hehe. *awkwardly rubs back of head* I need to get together a full post on it sometime.)

I do not know how long this took me, and for once I do not care. This was 90% character design which is my absolute weakest point when it comes to art, and not only that it was 90% costume design which is by far my weakest part of character design! And despite being the weakest point of my weakest point I think the result is killer and I am so. Freaking. Proud. Of this!

Nishi is gonna revel Poro’s color scheme someday and completely overturn this, but too bad! Until that day comes I will cling gleefully to my golden Poro-chan. (Disclaimer: I did not have any kind of color scheme in mind for him at all when I started this drawing. I just got extremely attached when I started shading.) (Also I have like 5 different skin tones saved on invisible layers and this is neither the prettiest not the one that best matches my mental image but it’s the pretties one that comes anywhere close to my mental image without looking completely washed out. (Before I went ape with the gold everywhere I was thinking as black-and-white as possible.) I do not guarantee this will stay. I might give in to the pretty any make him much darker. I might figure out how to do even paler skin without looking weird and basically color him like milk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ idk.)
