Good news! I finally have gotten a one-year-on-hrt appointment at the gender clinic

However bad news: I might have to cancel it already

So the appointment is set to februart 26 2025 which is exactly 14 days after my top surgery.

There are two problems with this:

1) I have no idea if I feel great enough this close after surgery to take the 2 hour trip from my friends' house (where I will be staying) to the appointment and/or if I have enough mental or physical energy to speak with the doctor.

But even more important

2) my top surgery clinic will schedule a post surgery check in and chest reveal 10-14 days after the surgery so there is a big risk i will end up with conflicting appointments 3 hours and a country apart.

I could be lucky that I am well enough AND dont have the post surgery appointment the same day yet part of me think it might be better to reschedule the hrt appointment just in case and so to not put too much on my plate this early after surgery

It will make it so my already late check in (it would be delayed by 2 months after my initial 1 year on hrt milestone if I keep this appointment) even later but at least the gender clinic will have time to fill in somebody else for the appointment if I tell them now

Or not now - it will have to be monday since the call time is over for the week

I am honestly not surprised at all because of course this had to happen. I guess it couæd be worse; I could have gotten an appointment the exact same day as the operation 🙃

Random Stewjon Headcannons! Because I’ve decided to make a whole language and I need a culture to do that!

The planet is not actually called Stewjon; that name comes from a mistranslation of Shinwan- meaning One Family.

It’s also actually not a planet. It’s a small moon orbiting a planet that’s unable to sustain life. The moon’s land is full of forests, but the surface is over 80% water.

Used to be part of the Mandalore Stytem, back when it was the Mandalorian Empire. Broke away thousands and thousands of years before Obi-wan’s birth

Because of their past with Mandalore, Shinwan is extremely insular, uninterested in being involved in any more conflict in the galaxy.

The moon is ruled by three- A Youth, A Middle, and An Elder. They do this so all sides of life are seen and heard.

Shinwan is huge on family! Family means everything to them! There are four different word for parent (two for primary parent, gendered and non gendered, and two for community parent, gender and non gendered.) It is very ‘it’s takes a village’

Shinwani are not human, just near-human; they have a slightly smaller life expectancy than humans (late 70s-early 80s), are able to hold their breath for hours, are more expectable to alcohol, and for the most part have trouble with digesting red meat (the latter is akin to lactose intolerance)

Family means so much to Shinwani that their firsts names are given-family, with their last names being their career, something they get only in adulthood (ex: Lyr-Run Nome , meaning Lyr of family Run, a farmer)

Those who are from Shinwan are very rarely force sensitive. Because of this, those who are tend to be sent away.

It’s not because they don’t care for them! They believe that with no training, the force will harm your family, and as family means everything…. Better not take the chance. (This being said, it means very little to some of those who are sent away)

Force Sensitives sent away always get the same name: Obi-wan Kenobi, translating to Blank Family Empty Future. This is not to be cruel. Family means everything to them; not just their family. Just because they can’t be yours, doesn’t mean you can’t be someone else’s. But on Shinwan, you cant have a family, and they won’t have a future.
