with a groan, you rolled over and got off your bed, rubbing your eyes as you went to your window. it sounded like someone was throwing rocks against the glass, and sure enough, just as you opened the window, another pebble flew through the air and soared into your room, clacking quietly as it tumbled across the floor.
when you looked out the window, you narrowed your eyes at the sight of kevin standing in the grass, waving sheepishly. “what are you doing?”
“i wanted to see you!” he whispered up at you, pulling an expression that he clearly expected to earn forgiveness from you. “can i come in?”
even though you were sleepy, you tossed the blanket rope down from the window sill, going back to your bed to sit and wait. it wasn’t long before kevin pulled himself up and into your room, quietly stepping in and pulling the blanket in with him. once he set it aside, he came to sit next to you.
“‘sup?” he murmured, raising a brow as he looked over. clearly telling that you’re tired, he reached out and slung and arm over your shoulders. you promptly fell into him, yawning softly. “did i wake you?”
the glare that you shot him must have given him the answer, because he pursed his lips into a thin line, giving your shoulders a squeeze while he stayed silent. after a long moment of silence, he gestured for you to move with him, and he kicked off his shoes before crawling under the blankets and tugging them up to your shoulders.
“can i tell you a secret?” he mumbled, a smile on his face while he brushed your hair away from your face. you settled with him, curled up against his chest, and nodded. “you’re cute when you’re sleepy.”
“shut up.” you mumbled sleepily, rolling your eyes behind your eyelids. your hand rested on kevin’s chest, and you felt nice and warm in his arms. as you were dozing off, you managed to speak up, feeling his lips press to your forehead. “just make sure you leave before m’parents wake up.”
