Fascinated by japanese wasteless sewing patterns. That scene in kono sekai no katasumi ni where a kimono gets transformed into a whole outfit (the process which Kouno fumiyo satisfyingly drew) started it for me. Bought a pair of monpe pants at a secondhand booth which i unexpectedly came across when i brought my lil cousin at Paris Japan expo last year, and i still am amazed at how simple and smart the design is... feeling a little embarrassed over being the whitest girl fawning over stuff i first saw in anime, but i genuinely love my undersized monpe which i have to wear over oversized shirts, which are sooo practical to go to the bathroom with

Thankfully it's not japanese-exclusive. i have been dying to dress like a XVIIth century french mai#the only thing that's stopping me is a don't feel quite that comfortable in long skirts because of having to climb stairs and also rainyday#i've always been a mini-skirt lover ever since i was 4#my fav outfit back then was my Eloise in Paris black velvet suspender skirt with an insect brooch made of fake gemstones LOL (its true)#*maid#*rainy days
