Is there like, a term for that thing where you have a character who was originally meant to be a one off character, but people (whether the fans or the creators or whoever) like that character so much, they keep showing up, and sometimes even end up becoming one of the most important characters in the franchise?

Ok I didn’t lie and was thinking about it all day but anyways here’s my mgs oc, Ainara. Still working out the bits of her backstory but she’s a merc (oh wow), pyromaniac and loves explosives. She did usually carry around a flamethrower but due to getting recruited in msf she’s had to kinda tame herself a little.

Her hair has been greying since she’s was young like really young so she constantly dyes it black but it washes out to purple most of the time 🥹 anyway she’s is getting better at stealth but occasionally does throw a grenade for the “distraction” so what does better actually mean for her really…

started mgsv and I was still in the delta controls mode that when I got to kaz I threw that man like 3 times trying to set him down
