i literally do not know 👍 here is the thing i wake up at 5am and put on my silly little uniform am marched around and yelled at by officers and run between classes saluting random ass 20 year olds and then spend class fucking jumping in the freezing ocean or running survival drills or learning how not to die at sea or outside sopping wet in the middle of a thunderstorm going to lower the school colors or working in the engine room all while my shipmates are like “i chose to come here because my dad is a merchant marine captain’ or ‘ive alwady wanted to join the service and do something with my life’ and somewhere in all of this i will stop and be like. guys? think i’ve lost the plot.
