Honestly?

I blame all the amazing people surrounding me. All the wonderful friends that I’ve met on Balmung and beyond. The personalities and characters I’ve been able to learn about, to read and play through their amazing stories and the infinitely creative people behind them. I’ve been so lucky for each and every one, and I’m so happy each day to look at my dash or timeline or whatever else and see them, to interact with them online or in-game and it brings me such joy.

HE SHOWED ME THIS SONG AND SAID IT FIT BANISHED KAI, THEN PRECEDED TO EXPLAIN THE SYMBOLISM IN THE LYRICS HOW THEY RELATED TO KAI AND I HAVE NEVER STARTED CRYING OVER A LEGO SO FAST

Like it’s so quiet and somber; this is Kai when he’s defeated one way or another, singing his last ballad about his hopes and dreams, how hard he wanted to be remembered and loved, only to become a broken mess that others will happily try to forget.

Like at the start with “be careful, be cautious, but you just wished harder” is him of course wanting to be the green ninja, the chorus is him convincing himself everyone still loves him until he finally realizes they don’t.

And samd said, if this were an animatic, imagine Kai learning Lloyd was the green ninja at the lyrics “Just like her tale, my dream was a scam.”/”You waited smiling for this.”
