i’ve read “die wand” by austrian author marlen haushofer for the tackle your classics challenge: category supernatural. i finished this in two days and i loved it! the protagonist, a woman in her fourties, stays in her cousin’s cabin in the mountains for holiday. one day she wakes up to find her area separated by a transparent, yet very stable wall. all humans and animals behind that wall seem to have turned to a kind of stone. her only company now are a dog, a cat and a cow, and the food won’t last for long... it’s like robinson crusoe without the shitty parts (and with a much better writing style) <3
